So, even tough “Wild East” has discontinued the title, do they still have any unsold copies–new aqnd unused, of course!–in their warehouse?
There’s these two from eBay

Both are pretty hefty in price, though the second seller is donating some of the proceeds to charity which is very commendable. When it comes to prices like these, it’s probably a good idea to have a limit on what you think is an OK number to spend.
Soren listed the first eBay seller earlier in this post, I’m merely refreshing the link.
Ask them.
They don’t. Once they’re gone - they’re gone.

I’m selling an extra DVD I have of Wild East release of Pilstoleros if anyone is interested. Starting bid is $19.99
I am a little confused why not just pick up the Kino Lorber blu ray of A Reason To Live A Reason To Die? Is the Wild East dvd better? Why pay those ridiculous prices on ebay. No offense intended, I have paid crazy prices myself
https://www.kinolorber.com/product/a-reason-to-live-a-reason-to-die-blu-ray
the BluRay only contains the shorter cut
And, for me at least, the shorter cut just ain’t that great.
I didn’t know that. I wonder why KL didn’t put both cuts on? They are usually good with stuff like that.
Do you have some examples for that? I bet in this case they just put out what the license owner supplied them with, and maybe the longer one is even hard to acquire a good master of.
wow there is a huge difference in run time wow WE almost 2 hours where KL is like 78 min
It is really a vastly inferior version if ask me (and some others). It ruins a lot of the scope of the story
I think they did a good job with Metropolis
ah but those versions were already (widely) available when they put them out, they didn’t have to piece that together themselves or dig up the material etc.
now I want to see the 2 hour version
It’s worth it.
It may be, just not worth the price of the oop dvd that some are charging. Maybe in time it will get re-released
Who knows, Wild East might re-release it on Blu-Ray like with Arizona Colt?
If they are going to do another re-release, that would be a great one to do though I do hope to see some previously unreleased titles coming down the pipeline in the near future.
Yeah, they might, after some other group do the hard work! … 'Arizona Colt BD was the Japanese Blu Ray with the English audio added.
