Seems like the latest double feature has been taken off from Wild Easts page. Is it possible that it sold out that quickly or was it discontiued after they discovered that the discs had an error?
there was a recall, not sure if that means they will not sell any new editions of it?
My disc arrived the other day since I pre-ordered it but after finding out about the error, I might just leave it sealed. I already have a good widesceen print of The Beast and a Greek VHS of Quinto.
They are sending out corrected discs to everyone who bought it
Good news!
Dropped in today ![]()
Finally dug up an Amazon link for the latest
I know things are crazy in the world, but have there been any updates on the corrected copies of the Thou Shall Not Kill/The Beast DVD? I know Wild East said direct purchasers will get sent a corrected disc. I was just wondering if an ETA was ever announced.
They sent out the replacements ages ago. If you buy from their site now, you will be buying the corrected disc.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t send out my replacement disc before I asked about when I would get the original release which I also hadn’t received at that time. Give them a mail and ask.
I got my replacement without asking, but I preordered as soon as it went up… they sent a replacement because some scenes in Thou Shalt Not Kill were in the wrong order
Thanks everyone for letting me know the corrected discs actually went out. I guess I just slipped through the cracks. I usually pre-order right away as well. I’ll send a note to WE.
If anyone is after the coveted A Fistful of Trailers release it is here with a starting bid of just £35:
I would check with the seller if the booklet is indeed included though.
Wow, Arizona Colt Blu Ray is up for pre-order on their site
I live in Cincinnatti, Ohio. My buy from WE a few weeks ago was “Brute and the Best”, it was here in 5 days. I bought “Those Dirty Dogs” with “Wanted”, and it took 9 days. I emailed them but they never responded back. I don’t get how they are so non responsive, does anyone know how to get a tracking number for the orders?
I ordered my Fighting Fists of Shanghai Joe blu-ray from amazon but I noticed the page for it no longer exists and it is no longer shown on the Wild East website. Did the release get pulled due to a copyright claim and/or sell out?
more likely. Let’s see what they say, as you posted the same question on FB I tagged Eric of WE and I hope he will respond
Update, he responded, quote
We have discontinued the title.
I’d recommend always ordering directly from the wild east site as soon as they announce new titles.
Can’t wait for this one! Hope they will fix up the audio this time.
Since Arrow announced their latest spaghetti western box, which includes three titles previously released by Wild East, I thought it was time to reflect on the relevance of Wild East’s discs. There are many fans who are not collectors of this label since they have been deemed obsolete. It’s easy to forget a time when Wild East was all we had. I think it’s great that Arrow are finally delivering but I will never forget that Wild East have always been there for the fans (the same can be said of Koch) and have provided us with far more spaghettis than any other company. In addition to this, their releases are also improving and I look forward to seeing more Blu-rays (The Ugly Ones is coming soon apparently). Although it’s true that many titles in their catalogue have been surpassed, there’s still many that haven’t, so here’s a current overview:
Johnny Yuma now has a Blu-ray release from Japan but Between God, the Devil and a Winchester has yet to be released by another company as far as I know.

Wild East’s Pistoleros remains the only English friendly release.

Ben and Charlie - the only English release

The Grand Duel has a stunning Blu-ray from Arrow but Wild East’s Beyond the Law is still the best available (until the German Blu-ray comes out and the English audio is confirmed)

A German DVD exists for The Dirty Outlaws. Is it better or on a level with Wild East’s?

Still the only English release of Matalo

A Reason to Live, A Reason to Die has a Blu-ray from Kino but Wild East’s version is uncut.

I don’t think the Clint the Stranger films have been released by anybody else and certainly not in English.

The Koch DVD of Hate Thy Neighbour is clearly the best but Wild East’s release of Django the Last Killer is the only one to contain the English dub.

The Unholy Four has a terrific Blu-ray from Kino but Wild East’s version of The Forgotten Pistolero is still the best out there.
The German DVD of Payment in Blood is probably slightly better but Red Blood, Yellow Gold has yet to be surpassed.

Unless the recent Blu has subtitles for the missing English portions (apparently it doesn’t), Wild East has the edge.

Kill the Wicked has a stunning transfer from Koch but Kill or Be Killed is probably the best or at least on a level with the German DVD.
Still the best releases of these Fidani films as far as I know (come on Arrow, give us a Fidani box set!)
The German DVD of Tequila Joe probably has the edge but Wild East’s A Hole Between the Eyes is the only one that has the English dub.
Still the best releases, especially for the uncut version of Full House for the Devil.

Wild East have released Arizona Colt (for the third time) on a Blu-ray but Hired Gun is probably the best or on a level with the South African DVD.
Still the only English releases of these PL Lawrence films.
The only release I am aware of.
Kill and Pray has been surpassed by Arrow. Dead Men Don’t Count is probably on a level with the German DVD.
Killer Calibre 32 has been surpassed by Koch but Killer Adios is the only release.
The only English releases of these films.
Sartana’s Here has obviously been surpassed by Arrow but Django Against Sartana is still the best.
Until the Blu comes out, Alive or Preferably Dead is still the best available.

On a level with the German DVDs?

The only release of El Rojo available
The only releases available (I do hope they get surpassed someday)
Still the best for these. The South African DVD of Ringo Kill is probably on a level.
Still the only release that I am aware of.

I think it’s obvious that Koch’a Blu of Cain will blow us away but the inclusion of Twice a Judas means this disc isn’t obsolete yet.
I don’t have the German DVD of A Coffin for a Sheriff to compare. This disc has probably been surpassed.

Koch wins when it comes to Those Dirty Dogs but is Wanted worse or on a level with the German DVDs available?
In a Colt’s Shadow is now on Blu from Koch but Savage Gringo is the only English language release.
Both remain the best and (unless you count the bargain set with King), they are the only English releases
Already surpassed by Koch and now Arrow is going to be the winner but it’s the only Blu of Pecos Cleans Up
Still the only English release of Johnny Hamlet and Chaco is probably on a level with the South African DVD
As far as I am aware, this is the only English release of The Last Tomahawk
Garringo has a Blu from Explosive but this remains the only release of Two Crosses at Danger Pass

Still the only English release of May God Forgive You… Not Me! The Koch DVD of Massacre at Grand Canyon is much better, however.
Wild East will be releasing a Blu of The Ugly Ones but this is currently the best release for English-speaking fans and it contains the only English release of Sonny and Jed
Adios Gringo - on a level with the German DVDs? Not sure whether I’d consider the Blu-ray of One Silver Dollar much better than this WE disc but I’ll have to revisit that one.
The Italian DVD of A Few Dollars for Django is currently the best but the Wild East disc has Ten Killers Come From Afar, which is probably the best and the only version available since the Brazilian disc is very hard to find.
Koch put out a better version of California but this is still the only release of Ramon the Mexican.
The only release of The Belle Star Story. Black Jack has been surpassed by the Explosive Blu-ray.
Wild East’s Days of Vengeance is clearly the best option for English-speaking fans with a better transfer than the German DVD.
The only English release available and definitely one to have.
A Pistol for 100 Graves already had a good German DVD and I don’t think Wild East’s was an improvement but it has the only English release of Ride for a Massacre.
The only Blu-ray in English and an obvious improvement over previous DVDs.
The only English releases of these films
A stunning Blu-ray release that surpasses every other version available.
The only Blu-ray available in English.
As you can see, the Wild East catalogue is still very relevant and I am sure they will continue to please fans.
