Vote for Our Official Top 20

Lol yeah, I didn’t expect anything from Vengeance but was blown away by it, and still am on the 4th viewing

Nice to see much more individual looking lists coming in, much less predictable than those of old, and much better for it  On that joyous day that i finally watch the last film on my “to watch” pile, i think mine will probably change a lot. Then again…that could take a long time… :-\

Vengeance is a good one. I remember liking it a lot. I don’t know about #4 but…

Hopefully it will change, that would mean some good ones are in store… and taking a long time is a good thing in my book. One of the things I’ve learned to enjoy about spaghettis is the fact that the supply is almost in-exhaustible

oh is it ever… Being a fan of other film genres this one certainly has a near bottomless pit of movies to choose from. Tons of actors - some one-offs, a lot of genre regulars and plenty of styles and sub-genres to choose from.

I guess eventually I have to make my list…

I’m always intrigued. What changes are their to your previous one AceHigh? What’s in, What’s out, What’s moved about?

I bumped DRAH up into the top 10 from it’s previous #12 ranking. The more I see it, the better it becomes. Watched Navajo Joe for the first time a few months ago and it’s top 10 material IMO. Also saw Blindman recently for the first time and definitely top 15 for me. Rewatched Cemetery Without Crosses and decided its top 20 for sure. Knocked out were #20 Pistoleros, #15 Sono Sartana, il Vostro Becchino, and #13 Massacre Time(had it ranked too high in the first place). - Appreciate it - Oh, and by the way, GBU is not only my favorite SW BY FAR, it’s also my favorite film in any genre.

I finally managed to craft my list:

  1. The Great Silence
  2. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
  3. Duck you Sucker
  4. Django
  5. Once Upon A Time In The West
  6. Fistful of Dollars
  7. Light The Fuse… Sartana Is Coming
  8. For A Few Dollars More
  9. My Name Is Nobody
  10. A Bullet For The General
  11. Death Rides A Horse
  12. The Mercenary
  13. California
  14. The Dirty Outlaws
  15. Kill And Pray
  16. I’ll Sell My Skin Dearly
  17. Face To Face
  18. The Big Gundown
  19. They Call Him Cemetery
  20. And God Said To Cain

Maybe there will be some changes someday, so what, we’ll see…

Here goes -

  1. Once Upon A Time In The West
  2. The Big Silence
  3. Death Rides A Horse

Runners up - Man Of The East, Captain Apache, Django Shoots First, Blindman, The Man Called Noon and The Fighting Fists Of Shanghai Joe, Red Sun

Nice pick 8)

Hey Karnstein,
Captain Apache is generally considered as an Euro western. For the official voting I would prefer to have a “real” SW instead.
So maybe you like to pick one of your runners up.

VERY interesti list. Especially with Sartana in the Valley of death, which I don’t dislike. Also with Man of the East so high. Some really don’t like it but I haven’t seen i. I do like Man Called Noon though.

Are we talkin’ about the same Sartana in the valley of death? ???

Okay, Berger is always a safe bet, and since the Muppet Show I’ve been a fan on funny puppets as well, but c’mon guys… ;D

Well I just moved Scalps to no 5 on my list, I won’t change it for a while now.

Thanks for mentioning it.

  1. Django
  2. The Great Silence
  3. Compañeros
  4. Keoma
  5. Face to Face
  6. Mannaja
  7. Massacre Time
  8. Django the Bastard
  9. Day of Anger
  10. Duck You Sucker!
  11. The Grand Duel
  12. Blindman

Interesting list
Corbucci king, Leone not even crown prince …

I often wonder, late at night, when I can’t catch my sleep, how things will be in the sixties of this century, when those films celebrate their centenary

Oh please, my usual request also to you, make it up to 20 films.
