The next 5 old lists, which will be taken out of the voting for every new posted list, are those:
El Chuncho Vote for Our Official Top 20 - #125 by EL_CHUNCHO
Malo Vote for Our Official Top 20 - #186 by Malo
Kohlbek Vote for Our Official Top 20 - #232 by kohlbek
Yocke Vote for Our Official Top 20 - #267 by Yocke
Colt_45 Vote for Our Official Top 20 - #286 by Colt_45
I post them here, cause if somebody knows one of them, and thinks he (or she) is or was very knowledgeable about the genre, then I would keep their lists for now, and erase instead another one.
I will keep for example the list of Shobary, even if it is pretty unlikely that he will ever come back and change it.
I won’t post my top 20 yet as I don’t feel I have seen enough SWs to formulate a proper top 20 list.
I’d second that …
Now that Spagvember is over, maybe some Spagvembers want to revisit their top 20?
Or post their first one?
The annual update of the big forum list will be done again in January.

Hah, that’s a list I like, with some outsiders which I really enjoy.
I wanted to write that it’s the first list with Nobody at the top, but actually it’s the 2nd.
Thanks a lot. Nobody was my first movie I’ve seen in cinema. I think it was in 1976. Since then it’s my alltime favorite!
I’ve never done this list before, so please be patient with me…

It’s a favourite of me too. Nr 5 in my SW top 20.
A bit uneven though, the comedy parts are a bit problematic in parts, but there are many scenes which belong to the best in any western.
I also watched it theatrically the first time, maybe around 1979. Actually I did not like it then as a whole, I had expected more comedy then. And now it’s the other way round, now I wish the pure slapstick stuff had been cut out.
I assume you watched it with the German dub?
Don’t worry, every list is as good as any other list. It only matters that it was done honestly, not which films are on it.
My top 20 is made just by those which are for me the most fun to watch, the most entertaining ones.
This is a problem or question that to this day kept me from compiling such a list. If I go purely with what’s the most fun to watch for me, I’ll feel bad about those films that are imo clearly better made. If I did a list according to what I feel are the “objectively best” (if there’s such a thing), I’d feel bad for the ones I enjoy most.
Go for what personally pleases you, and gives YOU the most pleasure to watch…
In other words, don’t worry about what you think you should write down, or go with popular opinion… just say what you like.
By the way, Happy Christmas, amigo…
Do as Toscano said …
Actually I also think there is not really such a thing like “objectively best” cause all the “objectively best” lists are also very much influenced by subjectivity.
Ask 10 experts and you get 12 different opinions …
… or like Dean would put it, a list can’t be an objective one without Shoot the Living, Pray for the Dead on top of it.
Best of the season to you, Stanton…and to Dean.
Wishing you both a cracking Merry Christmas, and a joyful New Year…
Thanks my friend, I wish you too some relaxed and, yes, joyful days in the time we call here “between the years”.
