It’s worth a watch and good for some laughs, if you’re in the right mood !
And for a roof a sky full of stars.
Unfortunately the amazing opening scene, Morricone’s soundtrack and F. Boido (a perennial villain favourite!) are not enough for this very lighthearted spaghetti. Disappointed by G.Petroni this time.
Edit: title corrected

-Just watched this but I fell asleep for 20-25 minutes during it, but despite that it was pretty good film.

That’s what they cal multi-tasking…Heehee
viewed " jessi’s girls" (1975) a western from “c film” director Al Adamson. A preacher’s wife (Sondra Currie)goes on the revenge trail when her husband is killed and she is raped by a band of outlaws. she is taught to shoot by a hermit and forms an uneasy bond with three wild women. this is a cheap western but it is slightly better than adamson’s other western " five bloody graves" as there is more story here, and adamson’s westerns are preferable to his cheap messy horror films. this is reminiscent of " Hannie Caulder" at first but soon goes off on it’s own trail. Not well acted although Sondra Currie is just about passable. This is sometimes refered to as a sex western but i don’t think it is even though it does have a fair bit of nudity. the hermit played by veteren Rod Cameron sports a ridiculous joke shop beard. not the worst western ever made, but only average.
Believe it or not, I just watched Kid, The Terror of the West
I have it lined up too. Was it worth your time? How lame was the kiddie stuff?
Last ones watched:
- Sartana does not forgive
Solid revenge flick with George Martin, Jack Elam and Gilbert Roland in the cast. Ladies Donatella Zurri and Rosalba Neri in supporting roles. What more could you ask for? 3 stars. - $10.000 for a massacre
Great music. Great Garko. Great Camasso. Great finale. Not the best of screenplays, but what the hell. 4 stars.
Red Blood Yellow Gold - For me, not very entertaining or interesting.
They Call Me Hallelujah - Better than I remembered thanks to the koch disc, I prefer George Hilton in Giallo and Crime films though.
One After Another - Liked it alot, great soundtrack… Richard Harrison looks pissed off the entire movie (just like Vengeance) it’s great.
Ghost Town Renegades(1947) with Lash LaRue and the great Al “Fuzzy” St. John. Probably one of LaRue’s better films. Fuzzy has some excellent moments in this.
Kid stuff is pretty lame. But if you can stomach comedy Spaghettis it’s watchable. I suggest that you rent a child for a couple of hours to watch it with you. Since most of the humor is junvenile, having a kid with you will at least let you know when you are supposed to laugh ;).
Lots of humor related to bodily functions.
On a positive note: it DOES have Franco Ressell.
I am embarassed to report that I have never heard of Al “Fuzzy” St, John.
I am intrigued.
I’ll have to Goggle him.

Thanks for the info, might give it a watch this weekend.
Also, BL, it is pretty lighthearted. I had kind of expected something along Lord of the Flies (darker) but got The Little Rascals instead.
It is really kind of charming in a way. It is one of those Spaghettis like Rita Of The West that is unique and watchable for that reason alone.

Fuzzy St John was a sidekick actor in a bunch of these 30s and 40s serial type westerns a la Gabby Hayes and the like. He appeared with John Wayne, Bob Steel and a whole lot of others and was always very good value. I’m a fan of these old oaters (which are corny but charming in my opinion) and am really glad to see that I’m not alone here on that. Me and AceHigh should start a club

I can’t believe that you, Romaine Fielding, have never heard of him. With your handle, I always assumed you were an expert on silent film era actors. St. John, at one time, was a Keystone Cop.
Tonight it could ne either Taste of Vengeance, Shoot, Gringo, Shoot, or Cemetery Without Crosses. All new (Thanks RF)
Like Romaine, I thought it was going to be some Lord of the Flies type thing, but about 5 minutes into it, I realized it was a kid’s movie, and surprisingly, I liked it. But hey, I still laugh at fart jokes too, so it’s not surprising. I’m just shocked that I actually found it watchable. If I had a kid, it’d be a good one to watch with 'em.
“Day Of The Evil Gun” (1968)
-Glenn Ford
A gunman, who abandoned his wife and daughters, returns home to find out they have been kidnapped by Apaches. He then reluctantly teams up with his wife’s new fiancee to rescue them.
Made on a modest budget, this is still a highly entertaining film. Good acting. plot and action.
