One hour cycle today, will go for a two hour cycle tomorrow as have news it may snow again which makes it a little difficult cycling.
I saw that on the news, where abouts are you?
Rainy Manchester.
Rainy Manchester.
Who are you cheering for tonight then?
No one… not a fan, to interested in westerns
.
Hmm…“colibri” is Spanish for hummingbird. We do have quite a few of those around here; but, I have never tried to take a photo of one. Was I supposed to…?
Oh…do you mean the Latina jogger, perhaps? No no no! I wouldn’t do something insanely stalker-ish like that!
It is bad enough that I have timed my walks to coincide with her running! ![]()
I take my camera with me when I walk in case I ever spot another coyote. I have seen several, but none up close ever since I have started taking my camera.
They’re easy to find Chris. Just follow any ACME delivery van.
OK, I’ll stop now :![]()

But why? ;D
no ! don’t follow an ACME lorry it will break down. why didn’t Wile E Coyote sue that damn company!
had our dance group class last night which included waltz and cha-cha.
Short cycle today. Not a football fan but part of my journey takes me along a low key road which leads to the training ground of Manchester United Football club. Speed limits of 15 and 20 mph have just been introduced down the road because of footballers suffering from small willy syndrome as previously were going up to 45 mph down a very narrow road.
45 minute run on the treadmill.
Hit the weights for an hour yesterday.
You must be absolutely rock solid with all this exercise Brother.
I keep going back to the free weights, but I tore the stitches on a hernia op about 2 years ago, and I’m very wary of this. I know when I’ve overdone it - I get warning pains and I really don’t wanna go there again.
So, today I went down to my local baths to see about doing some swimming 2 or 3 times a week during the day when all the kids are at school (supposedly) and picked up a price list. To be encouraged you’d reckon, what with our government banging on all the time about us doing more exercise - but … fuck me - free for under 17s … free for over 60s … fuckin’ £3.80 for me :o!!! Goddam nearly 4 quid to swim in everybody elses free piss. Now that is really is taking the piss!

Off up the club tonight. They’ve got a pub singer in and it’s always good for a laugh. But pissed up dancing on carpet counts as exercise I reckon. And with beer at £2 a pint and cider at £2.10 there should be a few arm-curls as well. (As with spags - the general rule is the better the title, the worse the film - with pub singers it’s - the shinier the shirt, the worse the singer…). I love it - an’ I’m hoping for a very shiny shirt tonight!
Here’s an example - the Elvis guy came on in a bad wig, dark glasses OVER his ordinary glasses 8) and opened with “I don’t look like Elvis, and I don’t sound much like Elvis - but I love Elvis”. It was fuckin’ priceless and did we dance? Well when we weren’t laughing we did. Great fun! ;D

When you put it like this, would rather go to the pub
.

Let’s put it this way - I used to be and am trying to get back to that point again…a slowing metabolism and increasingly sporadic exercise has caught up with me.
However I’ve been on a good roll lately and hope to keep it up. I used to run 3x a week and lift 3-5x a week!
Now - I was being a bit naughty last eve. I stuck that pub-singer in just to see how off-topic this could go (as we are notorious for), and fully expected to find zillions of posts discussing this aspect rather than keeping fit. So, well done all of you for showing such restraint (disappointingly
).
Anyway, as penance, I’ve decided to go and clear out one of the cellar rooms now, which by itself will be plenty of hours of exercise - but somewhere buried in there, under tins of paints and work tools there should be a multi-gym!
If you haven’t heard from me by tomorrow evening, please send help…
