The last exercise you got?

Spent 5 hours digging through the mess yesterday, uncovered 2 stuffed magpies, an old DeVilbiss air compressor, Lambretta legshields and more amongst the paint pots and rubbish, before I got to the multi-gym. The priory now has a perfectly functioning gym room - but a very knackered old reverend who’s too fucked to use it.

I went to the gym this morning, did 10km on the bike and various weights.

Last Saturday morning did about 20 km in my mountain-bike. In the afternoon went for a foot trail in the woods nearby hometown. Too much pain, won’t tried again so soon…

just finished my usual monday evening walk

just going for my usual monday evening walk (I may be gone some time  )

Great to hear everybody getting exercise!

We got a PILE of snow dumped on us over the weekend. I have been shovelling snow for two days and am now completely “knackered”.

Will be stretching out on the couch with a whiskey at my elbow for the rest of the night, and back to the gym tomorrow!

That is if you didn’t have too much whiskey. Don’t think it’d be too fun working out with a hang over. :’(

Still walking a minimum of 3 miles every day. Still seeing my Roadrunner amigo about every other day. Still seeing the Latina jogger–but, only about twice a week, now.
I’ve started working with weights for a few minutes in the afternoons. Nothing very major there (I’ve been advised by my doctor to keep the weight training to a bare minimum).

So far, I am doing OK on the weight-loss thing. I am zooming in on 30 pounds that have been shed since November.

Actually, if you can push through the hangover, it feels great.

Threw the weights around for an hour or so this aft.

done ski jump, hula hooping and distance jogging on wii fit ;D

Just moved the snow from the drive.

Hit the gym for an hour and a half today!!!

Feeling good these days and I’m over the hump of initial soreness after starting up with the weights. Now if I can stay in the groove…they say it takes 28 days to build up a habit (good or bad).

Chris I have to tell you that you are a fantastic motivator with your success!! Keep it up!

Did an hour of karate this evening.

Glad to be of some use, amigo!

I did all of my usual routines, today. Added a bit of shadow boxing to the mix, though…and that was nice for a change. I hadn’t even attempted any of that in ages.

Another nice thing about today was I finally had the chance to engage the lovely Latina jogger in a real conversation! Our discussion was sparked by both of us spotting, at the same time, a Javelina making its way along a dry wash. It was fairly late in the morning and it is unusual to see a Javelina at that time of day; so, we both stopped to watch it. Then, we started talking.
Turns out her name is Christina!
When she told me her name, I managed to fight the urge to do a Rod Steiger impersonation. “Your name is Christina and my name is Chris…that is the…destiny!”! And just went on my way. Maybe next time…
;D

I’ve never heard of a Javelina so i had a look on google, it’s a pig/warthog sort of thing.

As I have a beer belly, like must of you I reckon, I thought I’d do something about it. I’m not going to cut down on the beer and fat food, as my weight has been steady for years. I figured doing 100 situps a day must have some effect, so I started with that yesterday. And damn, I sure as hell ain’t used to that! I’m hopelessly out of shape and the gut muscles are practically absent. So will continue doing that for at least a month and will see if there’s any results. But I’m telling you, it ain’t no fun for a lazy bastard like me. No pain, no gain I guess.

Right, amigo. I think I posted some pics of a few in this thread a few pages back. Or, maybe it was in another thread…
