The Guess a Movie Screenshot Thread Version 2.0

It took me about a minute to figure it out after I saw the last picture you posted. Looked up Wikipedia list of pirate movies, scrolled to 1980s, saw Fabio Testi in 1988’s Iguana, confirmed it through YT. In retrospect, I should have been able to figure it out with the 3rd screencap.

Who are those guys in the blue/red uniforms?

Yes Massimo it’s Monte Helmann Iguana. The navy guys are from the boat that abandoned Carmen in the island thnking she was dead, but return after a few mothns.

It’s a weird film, actually based in real character some Irish sailer that wasabandoned in the Galapagos Island that took other sailors as his prisioners.

Up to you Massimo

Thanks, El Topo. That’s pretty cool. I looked him up. Patrick Watkins, the first resident of the Galapagos, they say.

This screenshot reeks 1960s so I’m not giving much away by affirming that. :zipper_mouth_face:

How many Academy Award winners can be crammed in one shot?

jjjjjj

Maybe The Prize (1963)?

It’s not The Prize but it’s similar in that the screenplay design is for the audience to root for the man and woman to get together.

Caprice 1967 ?

It’s not Caprice but you are getting closer in one regard.

A Countess from Hong Kong

That’s it, El Topo. :white_check_mark:

The “closer in one regard” was that the year 1967 was correct. The “Academy Award winners… crammed into one shot” were Marlon Brando and Sophia Loren.

Thank’s Massino

Never seen the film myself, but somehow recognized Sofia Loren, and she did win an Oscar.

Ok let’s try this one, it should easy or maybe not

I think it’s ‘The Hard Way’ 1979 ? … looks like Edna O’Brien in the top pic

Yes, thats the one Aldo didnt thought she could be so recognizable

Nice little simple TV film by the way, with a soundtrack by Brian Eno and a good part for LVC

Up to you Aldo

Thanks El Topo, Edna is very well known where I come from  also it’s a very good movie, and much better than other late Van Cleef movies.

Here’s something that has a connection to my last picture quiz - and one well known face, slumming it perhaps.

Over to you, El Topo.

Welp, I must give it a try then.

Thank’s Aldo, I thought it was a Peplum, but somehow that first pic didn’t seem usual for that type, at least for Italian films, but anyway I was out until that last tip, sword and sandal not my kind of thing.

Ok an easy one
