Miracle Mile (1988)?

Uau that was fast

Right on spot Mickey13

Your turn

Cheers, mate. It’s one of my favs, so it was fairly easy for me.

A movie from a renowned and well-respected director, I haven’t watched it yet.

My first guess would be Peter Hyames The Musketeer

No, not that one.

Caravaggio?

No.

La fille de d’Artagnan ?

No, not that one either, Aldo.

Film’s director is primarily known for his earlier period of filmmaking, after which he focused on historical dramas. And bear in mind he is considered to be one of the greats.

Le Bossu from Broca?

Not that one. One distinctive sniffling guy prefers this late period of the said director’s career as opposed to his earlier works. I might add the said director is (or rather was) Italian.

Is it possible no one here has seen it? The film was released by Criterion some time ago, so it’s not that obscure.

Inside the court of Louis XIV aka the taking of power by Louis XIV

By Rossellini

Voilà, well done. The said Italian director is indeed Rossellini and the sniffling guy I alluded to is obviously Slavoj Žižek.

Your turn.

Thank’s Mickey13

Being a great admirer of Rossellini work and Italian Neorealism cinema, I confess my total ignorance about this one, without your clues I would never find it.

Ok let’s try this one, totally apart from the last one

I think that’s my hero and namesake, Aldo Sambrell … but I don’t recognise the film.

eheh

Heh, that looks like Willie Aames with Sambrell… I’m guessing (Killing Machine) 1984.?

Sambrell must have guest starred on Eight is Enough.
