The Guess a Movie Screenshot Thread Version 2.0

That’s the one Toscano, over to you Amigo. I read recently it will be getting a 4K UHD release from Le Chat Qui Fume in France. A Bava film in that quality makes upgrading very tempting.

Yes, ‘Orphan’ it is. Well done.

I think it makes a good double-bill with ‘The Boy’.

Wild guess … could it be something as obvious as, ‘Cat People’ ?

Not that one I’m afraid Aldo, but it is from the 1980s.

I do not know the movie but the screenshot reminded me of a comic book: Blacksad 1

Thank you very much.

Horror again, this time a British film from the 1960’s…

Here’s another couple of clues…

Could it be, ‘The Flesh and the Fiends’ ?

A good try, but I’m afraid not, Aldo.

Here’s another pic…

Another wild guess … partly inspired by the last feline titled movies

‘The Shadow of the Cat’ ?

Sorry, my friend, but no.

So as not to deprive others of a go on this entertaining thread, I’ll post two final photos for this gothic classic, which will, hopefully give you the answer.

This 1960 film is based (loosely) on a short story by one of our most distinguished gothic horror writers, and makes rather a Poe-tent mix…

I haven’t seen that movie, but according to your indications it must be an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Omniscient Wikipedia confirms there is indeed a British horror film with that title from 1960, so my guess is: The Tell-Tale Heart, directed by Ernest Morris. :slightly_smiling_face:
