From the outset…I love both ‘Die Hard’ and ‘Lethal Weapon’
Just wondering…why, as usual, the media is debating as to whether or not ‘Die Hard’ is a Christmas movie…
‘LETHAL WEAPON’ (1987) is in the same class…So why don’t we have the same debate for this film?
In my humble, ‘LW’ is not only a Christmas movie, but a kick-ass one.
Dare I say it, it has more heart than ‘Die Hard’…?
In ‘Lethal’, we have redemption for a guy who is ready to say ‘fuck off’ to the world. He even has a bullet ready for the occasion when enough is enough…
It’s an 18 certificate version of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.
In this version, redemption comes in the form of a loving family…
I love both films, so this is just a which do you prefer?
“Trump threatens increased tariffs on Mexico A dispute over water has caused US President Donald Trump to threaten to raise tariffs on Mexico by 5 percent. According to Trump, Mexico owes the United States the equivalent of approximately 987 million cubic meters of water from a water-sharing agreement between the countries. “I have approved documents to impose a five percent tariff unless this water is released immediately,” Trump writes on Truth Social, claiming that American farmers will suffer if they don’t get their share of the water. The agreement was signed in 1944 and states that the United States shares water from the Colorado River while Mexico does the same with the flow of the Rio Grande, which is part of the border between the countries. Trump demands that Mexico release a quarter of the water before the end of the year."
Wasn´t that life saving water a conflict issue in Awkward Hands (7/10) ???
The father of the sweet Pilar Velasquez character was in trouble when the (other) villain and neighbour stopped the spring from reaching her father’s land…
Are there any other pool or snooker players here?? I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy White the other week. Me and me dad bought a lot of merch off him and his team and got a few photos with him. It was a great night.
Mine too..,second of all time actually. Alex Higgins was and still is my favourite though…Ronnie comes in third. I just wish I’d been around in the 80’s to have been able to watch Higgins live and White in his prime.
There’s two photos of me and Jimmy together. I’ve cropped myself out of them because I hate my photo being taken…I made an exception because I met a legend like him
In the RIP thread, another member criticised Brigitte Bardot, but then apologised and retracted. However, I think that criticism of Bardot is wholly legitimate. She was a deeply racist woman, whose passing I won’t be mourning.
While browsing Amazon.de I noticed Explosive Media are releasing ‘Operation Kid Brother’ on blu ray. I’ve always wanted to watch that train wreck so I’m hoping I can pick up the blu ray
