Talk Whatever

The last two weeks have been an interesting time for me as it’s a 5 year anniversary.

It’s an anniversary of both good times and bad times. The bad time was that circumstances culminating in a domino effect forced my family and I to sell the house I grew up in and move. Anxiety and emotions ran rampant, but we made it through. I made peace with all that, but the big anniversaries always manage to bring up some emotions.

The good times of this 5th anniversary is that I got to see my best friend exchange marriage vows with the love of her life. For a few hours the stress of moving was not a factor and we all had fun. My BFF and her husband are still as happy today as then, and are raising a family now.

Apologies if this got a little mushy, but something inside moved me to share.

Nothing wrong with a bit of mush now and then.

Can’t go wrong with Italy.
What part are you off to this time?

Sardegna

Nice

Italy? They used to make decent westerns.

Have fun!

Italian westerns? don’t be ridiculous, they’re aweful, I’ve seen one.

Saw this today while browsing ebay … what the distributors and many other folk need to know is that the seemingly harmless term ‘Berk’, is in fact English, or specifically Cockney rhyming slang, which means the outrageous and still taboo (in many social situations) word, ‘CUNT’

… on reflection though, the fact that the poster’s headline is referring to Val Kilmer, perhaps the producers knew more than they were letting on!

I learn something new here everyday.

Berk was also a popular children’s TV character from the 80s voiced by Willie Rushton. The cockney rhyming slang is the perfect term for the Berkeley Hunt. Many sources also list Berkshire Hunt as the etymology for the word - but this is of course incorrect and wouldn’t work phonetically anyway.

Berk isn’t used much these days, but it was very common on TV during the 70s and 80s … it’s really like calling someone an idiot, in a friendly way

The one that bugs me these days is, people saying this thing or that thing or person ‘Sucks’ … it’s kind of disturbing when you hear children using it, and doesn’t take a genius to work out what the original phrase was !

I’m sorry this is silly I just had to share :'3
So I while back I was on the phone with my friend and I said something like:
“I just wanna be like Clint Eastwood!”
She kindly responded with something similar to: “…you’d be the worst Clint”

Today is my birthday and she came over with a cake that literally says (translated) “Worst Clint”
xD Not sure If I wanna be roasted on my birthday!
Nonetheless I do really enjoy that I got a spaghetti western themed cake :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: That’s all I wanted to share~
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!

That’s not a roast, it’s just an internal joke. And isn’t that a bit fresher than one of these standard phrases?
(Gratulerar!)

Just realized that the main zombie in Zombi 2 is played by the brother of Alberto Dell’Acqua. Not sure why I felt compelled to write this
