Spaghetti Western Posters

Look at the BANDIDOS poster

I think you can read my name in Danish on the right:

SKARPSKYTTEN

Those Danish posters have a very distinct style, interesting. True craftmanship, but I can’t say that I like them much though. There’s something about the drawing style that doesn’t appeal to me… I don’t know, hard to explain. When it comes to poster nationalities I think I like the Belgian ones best.

Yes… scherpschutter = sharpshotter = skarpskytte … correct.

The Danish poster varies from artist to artist… Some are even just photomontages …
I think most of the Danish posters are fine but the main reason I collect them are of course because of my own nationality. I think its more fun collecting Danish stuff than say Belgian stuff for which I have no immediate connection … I’ve seen a lot of Belgian posters for sale around and they do look nice too though…

What I would like though was MORE POSTERS POSTED … Right now its almost just Danish posters which is of course nice as long as I have new stuff to post

Alright. I don’t own it, but this is one i like very much:

Ok - I did say I’d post some … But, some of my favorites are framed up. (And I still havn’t got a host site for photies, but I think they may come up a reasonable size if you click ā€˜em) …
This is my pride and joy and we all know it well.
It’s not framed up tho’ ā€˜cos - now we come to the dangers of cider!!! - I bought it thinking it to be in cms. - but it’s in inches. Still, who cares? I left my choir-mistress’ hands ā€˜n’ feet on to give it scale …

Fabulous style brother,

Yeah … I let her have a coffee-break every now and then tho’. ;D

Damn nice posters Reverend… Love the Demofilo Fidani one with Gordon Mitchell’s face plastered all over it… Enviable…

Been thinking of expanding my collection to German material also and those two surely are nice posters … Love those German titles. Unbeatable.

See it wasn’t that hard was it

Don’t spoil her though… Would be a foolish mistake

Oh, mine or not as fine as yours !!!

Most German posters are of the same style. I kind of like it !

Here some more out of my small collection:

Reverend Danite, can I ask where you purchased your Django poster?

Yeah, these German titles are often great fun, having almost nothing to do with the original !

Some more and one Deem this time:

I am in the process of trying to photograph my collection of posters, fotobustas, locandinas, and so forth. When I brought a lot of things out of storage, I was amazed at just how much of this stuff I have!!

I really need to get a lot of these things mounted and framed (especially the two posters I have for JOHNNY HAMLET that were signed by both Enzo Castellari and Francesco De Masi).

So far, though, I have only photographed the following…

By the way, I have the exact same poster for DJANGO that Rev. Danite has! Great poster! I purchased mine over five years ago from Intercard.srl in Italy. It is an original.

I will try to post more of these as I photograph them in the future.
