Sad Hill - GBU 60th anniversary in Burgos

Details (you can machine translate it)

July 23 to 26. Who’s going? I am seriously considering.

Quoting Patrick Zelisko on FB: “A 60th anniversary celebration of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly will take place in six villages in Burgos, Spain, this July. Organized by the Sad Hill Association, the program includes conferences, screenings, concerts, exhibitions, and reenactments. The restored Sad Hill Cemetery attracts international fans and honors director Sergio Leone’s iconic western legacy worldwide.”

After visiting sites in Almeria in 2023 this has been the other place I’d like to go, though I haven’t fully committed to it yet. I was thinking this could be the year, so I’m open to it. Not for certain though.

Worth the trip, plus u can combine it with a trip through the basque country which is nice in itself as well

Getting closer to making travel plans. Anyone on here seriously considering joining? I might head there for a full week or so, to get more out of the flight price… But it might be hot that time of year, best bring a sun hat for hiking :cowboy_hat_face:

I see Kevin has already booked his tickets  https://www.facebook.com/groups/7672430509468364/posts/26446069101677888/

Wish I could but work will keep me at home unfortunately

I may only know in a couple of weeks, but also not looking good I am afraid… sucks to have noone fill in at work so It’s all (i.e. two) hands on deck

Am planning to visit Sad Hill and Betterville around this time, by coincidence, I was already going to Spain for a holiday…. So Hopefully I will see some of the anniversary stuff
