:moneybag: :dollar: Support the SWDb

Please donate. It really really helps, and if enough folks just donate tiny amounts, that’s even better than just two or three people donating amounts that embarrass us. Can we find 100 people who donate just 2 bucks?

SWDb  Letterboxd

  1. Follow our official SWDb Letterboxd HQ account. Click here to learn more about that.
  2. On any movie page in the SWDb there is a direct link to their respective LB entry at the bottom. Click it, log the film, rate the film. Do the same on IMDb and other film platforms.
Thank you for your attention in this matter

:dvd: Home video news:

May was special because it saw the long awaited release of a Dollars Trilogy box set that is actually quite amazing. Also released in the US is The 5 Man Army, and there were two notable releases in Italy, and some minor stuff in Sweden, Germany and Australia.

June is not too impressive, but there are interesting releases in France, Italy and Germany. Unclear if we’ll be in for a short-notice surprise announcement by Plaion, so far nothing…

Please check the calendar regularly, we often update it several times a day!

:shopping_cart: JPC and FNAC

We have expanded our coverage of FNAC (France) links in the SWDb and we joined JPC (Germany, ships internationally quite well) partner programs. If you use any of these two, please use our links for shopping (even if you end up buying something else). This adds to our links for Amazon USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and Sweden, as well as DeepDiscount and MoviesUnlimited links that we have in there. Many may be broken or out of date, please report those instances. Using these links supports the SWDb, thank you so much!

:church: Obituaries

Our head of obits, the spaghettiologist @Tom_B had to update the boot hill cemetery with an unfortunate 7 new obituaries over the course of the last four weeks. Rest in peace!

:balance_scale: Reviews:

Please contact us if you want your reviews published. We are especially looking for reviews of movies that have no, or very few, reviews in the SWDb. We publish them in all languages, and you don’t need to be a professional writer!

:cowboy_hat_face: :sunrise_over_mountains: Come to Spain (part 1)

The 60th anniversary festivities for Sad Hill and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly will be commemorated in Burgos (northern Spain), we have a discussion topic to gather info and possibily coordinate trips.. Several local places will hold screenings, workshops and other activities around the 23-26 July time span.

For example screenings:

If you join the events, let others know, so you can coordinate. Once there of course you will need to visit all the locations, see here Category:Burgos locations (Northern Spain) - The Spaghetti Western Database

And you can now buy commemorative shirts (and also tote bags), right here:

:confetti_ball: :cactus: Come to Spain (part 2)

The fall will of course again see another iteration of the Almeria Western Film Festival, join it from October 8 - 12. More information at https://www.almeriawesternfilmfestival.es/home-2/

If you attend the festival, you should combine it with a few days of location hunting, for example Los Albaricoques Los Albaricoques - The Spaghetti Western Database

:globe_with_meridians: Tired of Faceb00k (like us)?

For page owners like the SWDb, it’s a tiresome effort and the corporations milk us in the cage they have locked us in. So we much rather welcome and meet you all on here on our own message board - no ads, no fees, pure freedom.
One thing we’re currently trying is BlueSky, which is sort of like Twitter when it was still decent. If you’re on there, see you also on BlueSky, where we have surpassed the mark of 818 followers this week.
