A unique looking guy who commanded attention when he showed up. He was also very funny.
Rest in peace Hector Savage!

His face would’ve been perfect for the SW genre, surprised no one ever approached him about going to Italy for one. For me, he’ll always be the guy who Clint Eastwood blows away in High Plains Drifter and Unforgiven. RIP.

@Tom_B I put the obituaries into the SWDb main menu finally… just a small tweak but it was overdue. The podcast as well

Thanks Seb and for the support.

DAME VERA LYNN, aged 103. R.I.P.

During World War Two, Dame Vera was known as the ‘Forces Sweetheart’, and helped, immensely, to maintain morale in Britain, during its darkest hours.
In her youth, she sang of ‘The White Cliffs’ of Dover’, while visiting battle-weary troops on the front-line, and assuring them that ‘There Will Always Be An England’.

Dame Vera remained an outspoken supporter of military veterans throughout her life; and, in May this year, she urged the nation to “remember the brave boys and what they sacrificed for us”. She added: “They left their families and homes to fight for our freedom and many lost their lives trying to protect us and our liberties.”

Indeed…‘We’ll Meet Again…’ R.I.P.

Rest in Peace to a true Dame! This lady kept our brave men fighting and the citizens of United Kingdom believing in our land and our freedom. We will truly never see her like again.
God bless you Vera. :uk:

I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard any of her songs, but from reading about her on the IMDb she sounded like loads of fun and a class act in the entertainment world. RIP to legend.

SIR IAN HOLM, CBE, aged 88. R.I.P.

R.I.P. to one of my all-time favourite actors, Sir Ian Holm, who appeared in such classics as ‘Alien’, ‘Lord of the Rings’, ‘Mary, Queen of Scots’, ‘Shout at the Devil’, ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, ‘Chariots of Fire’, and ‘Greystoke: the Legend of Tarzan’…to name but a few.

A fantastic, multi-talented actor, who always grabbed my attention, and held it tightly, during every superlative performance; whether on Stage, TV, or the Silver Screen.

Personally, I will always associate Sir Ian with the character of ‘Ash’, the android with attitude, in the original (and best), ‘Alien’ film, 1979.

R.I.P., SIR IAN HOLM

Sad to see him go. I think this man truly enchanted generations. His sinister performance in FROM HELL will always make him the definitive movie Ripper. Thanks for the memories
Sir Ian!
Rest well.

Maybe an additional picture or screen shot would help to identify the persons in the database

He mainly had supporting actor jobs, but did have a more substantial role in ‘The Boldest Job in the West’ (1972)

… and in ‘The Price of Power’, as Benito Stefanelli’s henchman

Finally recognised him! Nice one Aldo. :+1:
Rest in peace Mr Bravo.
