Wonderful actor.

STANLEY BAXTER, R.I.P.
Goodbye to one of my favourite life-long, all-round entertainersâŠa must-see at Christmas time, when I was a wee nipper.
RIP Frenchie King
Another huge icon of cinema, who you never expect not to be there ⊠Very sad news .
RIP to a legend. Iâve always had a love-hate relationship with Brigitte Bardot. She was talented and had a presence to her, but I never found her gorgeous and thought she could be a little stuck up. She was great in a lot of films, especially Viva Maria and The Legend of Frenchie King, but occasionally it felt like she did the same thing every film. Not too sure how many people know this, but part of her reason for switching to full time animal activism was because she realized she wasnât aging gracefully and wanted audiences to remember her as she was. I do give her credit for her support of animal rights, but like most activists she got a little too caught up in it and crazy things happened. She just had this odd ying and yang to her.
RIP. A belated RIP to Claudia Cardinale as well.
Donât think a character assassination is whatâs needed on a âRest in Peaceâ thread ?
Iâm certain she was a âDivaâ type, like most of her contemporaries and the vast majority of actors and actresses - But nevertheless she was a very big deal in her day, and I feel itâs highly inappropriate to list her failings as a human being, as you see them, based on some 3rd hand opinions found online.
I would like to apologize for that, for some reason my headâs been in a funk going all different directions at once, not normally like me at all. I was trying not to be disrespectful, and it came out as such anyway
Christmas stress perhaps?
Anyway, thank you for being big enough to retract your statement, it just rattled me a bit.
All friends again. Take care

It happens to the best of us, amigo. No one is perfect. I hope you had a peaceful Christmas. A Happy New Year to you, and everyone else on âSWDBâ. ![]()
Christmas was stress free actually, I think it was my Christmas is over blues on overdrive
Thanks @Toscano
His comment didnât come across as too offensive to meâŠsorry for that and sorry if I offended anybody for liking it. I didnât know thatâs why she retired (if what he said was true), so I just found it informative.
RIP composer Roberto Donati
RIP the legendary Robert Duvall
Was totally taken aback and surprised by this news, thought for sure heâd make it to 100. Along with Harry Dean Stanton, I always thought Robert Duvall was one of the most versatile character actors in the Golden Age. Believe it or not, my first Robert Duvall experience was both To Kill a Mockingbird and A Family Thing, To Kill a Mockingbird I saw in school in 6th grade and A Family Thing aired a lot on cable TV. RIP Mr. Duvall.
