Most controversial thread ever (enter at your own risk)

This thread is sad, someone should give you reds a lesson in capitalism. By the way Silince my sw collection is lacking, you appear to have a nice one. I will send you my address. Your the have and im the have not so you can go ahead and mail me your westerns. While were at it someone should also start a thread on the benifits of a slave econemy.

LOL!

I don’t think selfishness has anything to do with it.

Here’s the simplest way to put it as written by Bovine econmics. Just so we can get a definition set for argument sake (debate’s more like it.)

CAPITALISM - You have two cows. You sell one, buy a bull, and breed a herd of cows

COMMUNISM - You have two cows. The government seizes both and provides you with milk

FACISM - You have two cows. The government seizes both and sells you the milk

Also, found an interesting article on the failures of Communism.

@Silence:
If I didn’t have some respect for you I wouldn’t bother debating this subject with you but you’ve got to understand that Communism is a heavily flawed system. It isn’t necessarily evil as Facism is and I don’t want to complete shit all over your beliefs, but at younger ages things seem so much more simple (hell, I still see things that way), but Communism doesn’t really work. That’s not to say that Capitalism is without it’s faults. Main idea is to be completely informed on these types of subjects. Good and bad.

Read this:

Glad we can get to level ground. Here. And, again, not trying to shit all over your beliefs but Ididn’t want to see you demolished in a political discussion with someone like Scherp.

I wouldn’t say you overreacted. Just that your a little misinformed on the subject like a lot of young people about politics. And just to let you know, I also searched for an article on the failures of Capitalism to balance things out. So, read up and decide for your self but be sure about your beliefs. Like I said, Communism or Marixism sounds great on papaer but doesn’t really work when put to the test. But that could be attributed to the saying “Absolute power corrupts absolutley.” Which itself pertains to just about any political system even Capitalism.

It’s some very heady stuff that even i don’t understand completely (imagine that! ::))

Don’t worry, Scherp would demolish me too.

This obviously only works if everyone has the same number of cows to start off with. In reality of course there are a small number of people who already have large herds and a large number who are lucky to rent a small pot of yoghurt. The principles of capitalism, like most other political doctrines, look much better written on paper and read through rose coloured glasses than they wind up being in reality.

My own preference for a Capitalism analogy would be that of a global lottery that keeps millions playing in the hope of one day striking it lucky while the few who run the game always get richer and richer.

I don’t mean to stir things up here any further and don’t intend getting into any prolonged political debate. I just felt compelled to add my 2 cents. Political beliefs, I’ve come to feel, are like religious ones. They are often based more on faith than facts and we all have our own ‘truths’ on the subject which are unlikely to be changed by any argument.

I think that’s the sorry truth

Lets not forget who this thread is about, if you want to have a political discussion about the far left make a page for it. Untill then we should all discuss the good things Hitler and his Nazi scum did. I will post pictures of Hitlers summer camp tomorrow, it will be good fun. We will get to see all the people having a ball in Hitlers name

Let´s not do that. Everybody knows those images. I wouldn´t like to see them when I browse through the recent posts. It adds little to the discussion. Furthermore, Lindberg doesn´t seem to be around anymore.

He hasn’t visited the forum since he started the thread.

In which case how about we all ignore it and let it slip into obscurity on page 5 of the thread list?

Why not? Until he answers. Still waiting for it. But I would prefer it if he simply stops it

Hehe, totally hysterical

There’s just a certain something about ‘the Nazis’ that make people go crazy

And this has nothing to do with propaganda?

Anyway I’ll answer some of the posts here in a while

Herr Lindberg

good comeback

I like how this thread maneuvered close to my definition of a thread I need to delete, but you guys have skillfully veered it into a pseudo-intellectual discussion about political systems

here is my one sentence contribution to that debate:

all attempts at socialism/communism/marxism have resulted into dictatorship/totalitarianism/tyranny/failure. capitalism, if you wanna call it that, or free market societies etc, have sometimes turned into dictatorship, but interestingly not because of other reasons

I’ve read Mein Kampf. Ironically the only thing interesting, at least to me, was when Hitler started talking about propaganda and how you can sell any idea to the masses wit the use of media etc. He did it and it is still done that way today. We hear less about the gipsy holocaust and a lot about the Jewish holocaust, because Israel has a better ‘propaganda machine’. But this of course does not means the tehese holocausts did not happen. So, paradoxically you are both right and wrong at the same time. And let’s act a bit normal here, there’s nothing hilarious about a holocaust. And it is therefore only naturalthat it freaks out people a little. After all, we’re not all übermenschne like you

To me the biggest problem with Communism is it apparently doesn’t account for greed being a part of human nature. Not everyone is greedy but there are enough people who are (and who are ambitious and/or corrupt enough) to take advantage of the system.

I agree with my friend BL on almost everything he wrote, and I fully, unreservedly agree with those things I put in bold

It’s all very eloquently said, but personally I’d skip the last sentence
After all Lindberg can still deny some of the things he has been accused of.
Everybody has the right to defend himself
