The SPD is the socialist party for the masses (Volkspartei are they called, just like CDU or FDP and meanwhile also Die Grünen) here in Germany, without being very marxian, but they had massive problems in the 3rd Reich.
If the moderate NSDAP members would have been socialists, they would have joined the SPD, surely not the CDU.

I increasingly find myself amazed at this discussion. I never imagined anybody would ever have to convince someone that Adolf Hitler is a bad guy. It’s just a well known fact.
How can anybody justify his actions?

I think it’d be wrong to just kick him out of here. He’s been with us for too long.
That’s another subject. Sure, he’s been here a long time. But is any body really going to act the same towards hi knowing he’s a Facist? I’m going to have to be Swiss on this subject.

There are always a few who think he hasn’t killed any Jews. They think they only died in the concentration camps because there wasn’t enough to eat because of the war, and the Germans also were starving then. And they say of course that it wasn’t 6 mio, but much, much less. This is called the Auschwitz lie in Germany, and you can be sentenced here in Germany for saying or publishing it.
The Neo- Nazis here in Germany are denying nearly everything which is said to be the truth about Hitler, WW2 and the holocaust. For them Hitler is a German hero. Luckily they are an ugly minority.
Don’t forget that you can also buy books written by scientists or academics which “prove” that the evolution never happened and that the earth is only a few 1000 years old, just like the bible says.
You can get for everything an opinion and a book or an article which proves it.
