Long Live Your Death / Viva la muerte … tua! (Duccio Tessari, 1971)

Nobody really jumps out to me. The blond El Salvador escort is a possibility but the face is slimmer which could be the AR

It’s weird that such a scene would be cut since it sounds like it introduces the cut to the explosion better that way. I wonder if that was one of the cuts made by foreign distributors that just happened to be left out of the Wild East print?

I’ve mentioned this before, but two scenes were left out of the Spanish dub.
Lozoya gasping for help in the well as Orlowsky forces him to confess that he betrayed him.
Lozoya grieving for his sister and nephew and vowing revenge.

WE’s longer cut was improvement, there was some nice scenes I had not seen in my previous vhs-rip.

Which scenes were missing?

I see it as his chance to essentially play Juan Miranda. He seemed like he really showed up Rod Steiger after he was turned down for the role.

Anyone willing to sell the WE dvd?

Just watched this one again and enjoyed it a lot! I watched the shorter version and it seemed to work better for me. I’ll have to check out the long version again since I can’t remember what’s missing but I felt like the additional scenes didn’t really add anything.

The Digi Dreams standard blu-ray has English audio correct? It states on its blu-ray page here that it has English audio except for 3 scenes that has Spanish audio with English subs. It doesn’t list this on the back cover as I just received it late last night and didn’t have time to pop it in which I will tonight but I figured I would ask here too while I am bored at work lol

Should be correct but do let us know once you watched it if any Info needs tweaking

Alright so popped the disc in and all the info about the audio options are correct in the database. It certainly does have English audio despite not stating that on the back cover!

Does anyone know whether there was an Australian release of this using the Wild East disc image? I do not live in Australia, but I found someone who has an AU release of it and am wondering if… 1) It is an official release, and 2) it is region free. Same UPC number as the Wild East release, as well as same cover picture and description on the back (uncut release with Eli Wallach interview), but it does not have the signature “Spaghetti Western Collection Volume 26” as seen on the release I’ve seen around, nor does it have any Wild East specific markings on the back cover. In fact, there is no indication of who made it, even though there is a copyright warning. So, I do not know if Wild East allowed someone else to reproduce their disc in AU or if this is just a really good looking bootleg. I do not see anything on the DVD page of the SWDB site. I asked the seller if it was region free, but they are not sure. I am curious to see the uncut version of this SW, but do not want to purchase a bootleg or something I cannot play. Just curious if anyone happens to have any knowledge on this. Thanks.

EDIT: There is a spot on the back where it says “Wild East is proud to present…”. So, there is a Wild East reference, but I am still not sure if this is official or not.

looks like an exact copy

So, you think it is a bootleg?

I have seen a few Wild Easts released in Australia with almost identical packaging. They are typically far cheaper than an actual Wild East though I am not sure what the exact story is with these releases.

Decided to take a chance on it, since it was a fraction of the cost of what people are trying to sell the regular version for. Received it today and upon quick inspection, it is a silver disc with no signs of being a home burned copy. It is also region free, so I am able to play it fine without issues.

The video and audio quality of the film are decent, but not as good as the cut version I watched on the Grjngo Youtube channel (but I know that the WE stuff can vary in quality). Based on the professional quality of the insert and disc, I am running under the assumption that this was probably a licensed WE version for Australia.

Overall, I am very pleased to have found a reasonably priced uncut DVD of this film for my collection!

I heard that they were mass-produced in Taiwan. Exact copies of the Wild East discs but they are still pressed, not DVD-Rs.

Does anyone have the French Blu-ray of this film? Based on the shorter running time, it appears to be be the English language export cut (my preferred version). I was just wondering whether the French Blu-ray has forced French subs when selecting the English audio. If so, I might stick with my Thai DVD.
