Fantastic … I am very impressed that you sought out and made it to so many locations in a short time … I’m also ashamed to say that although I’ve been in Tabernas many times, I was not aware of ā€˜The Big Gundown’ street :face_with_peeking_eye:

Indeed you are the LVC champion! Also, you look amazing in the photos - Bravo, Jenny!

Haha I’m in no position to discredit you :'3
We all know I’m a fake speghetti western fan~ I’m just here for the LVC content ^.~

… none of us would be here if it weren’t for LVC and the few other icons who started it all - Sometimes taking an interest in a subject can become an obsession, not unlike people who support football teams, even when they know their team is crap, they keep up their enthusiasm … That’s how I feel about many of the films we discuss here, they’re not always very good, but someone’s gotta stick up for them

Just spent the last hour of my evening watching scenes from ā€˜The Big Gundown’…coming on here and seeing this…Jen, you are a STAR! Such dedication and enthusiasm.

Bloody 'ell, I wish I had as well prepared as you when I visited the locations…

Well done. As far as I’m concerned, you are our official LVC specialist…

Sincerely.

It often takes the good, bad, and ugly situations to take us to a place where we are most at peace… :cowboy_hat_face: :wine_glass:

I’m happy that sharing was appreciated :sparkles:

I know it was way to much text and I don’t really expect anyone to read it all, but I figured since its a forum ppl can choose themselves if they wanna read it or not ^^ but at least its there as an option :tulip:

Its great that it could be inspiring for some, and for others a reason to reminisce back to their own trips to AlmerĆa.
God knows I think about it all the time, miss it so much

There are definately people here who know more about spaghetti westerns than me, but I’m glad I have a place here regardless.
That my love for a few of them (and Lee) is enough :sunflower:

That’s a damn good comparison  And probably the reason why I will sit through films like Black Killer or Gunman of Hundred Crosses on multiple occasions

I was asked at work to create some new skins (another term for ā€œoutfitsā€ in the industry) for our main character…

Did I abuse my position of power: Yes
Do I regret it: No :'3

Just found this on ā€˜Youtube’…

The song is zombie-certified as ā€˜catchy’, and the animation is spot-on…

Back again to perpetually bump up the Lee Van Cleef thread! ^.~

I’m home again from my NY trip and as promised I would keep you all updated on my LVC adventures :tada: so I filmed a short little video in Somerville!

Somerville was wonderfully quaint and I had a great time there! :sparkles:
(too bad @LankyGringo and your wife couldn’t make it! I think you would have loved it too!)

I brought with me two little souvenirs from Somerville: a beautiful vintage compact and a little photo album gifted to boy scouts in Somerville dated 1929 on the inside.
(Since Lee was a boy scout I thought it was a fitting thing to bring home from Somerville ^^)

Back in Manhattan I visited the Neil Simon theatre (at the time known as the Alvin Theatre)
Where Lee had his third acting role as a Military Policeman in the play Mister Roberts.
(Happened to walk by the jewelry store Van Cleef & Arpels…but I can’t even afford to step a foot into that place :'3 so quickly moved on)

Not really related but damn The Met museum was amazing! I could spend days there.
So many cool statues, paintings and old weaponry!

I had a wonderful time! :sunny:
(did it beat the Tabernas desert, no :'3 but I suspect not much will  )

Ha, that reminds me of an episode I had almost forgotten. Many years ago, on vacation with my parents, my mother took us all into a duty free shop to buy some perfume. I was bored as hell and probably moaning about it. She eventually said I should have a look around and if I liked something I could maybe have my first perfume, or rather EdT probably. Easily bribed as ever I started to wander through the aisles until I saw a bottle of Van Cleef & Arpels. With that name I had to look no further. That’s what I wanted. I didn’t even test how it smelled. There was just no question it had to be this one.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like the smell at all. But I kept the bottle for decades because of the name.
