I haven’t seen it for ages (like all the early Bonds, so maybe my list will change soon), but it was for me always one of the routine films where the ideas had become rather thin and their carrying out seemed to be mostly routine.

I know some of it looks more like the THUNDERBIRDS than like BOND, but I like Little Nellie, Ken Adam’s sets, Donald Pleasance, the title, and the Japanese settings. Japan is a country that has always fascinated me.
It could have been the best Bond if they had filmed On he Majesty’s Secret Service, in which Blofeld kills Bond’s bride, before this one, its logical sequel. The book is one of the grittiest because it’s a revenge story, Bond looking for the man who ruined his life. Now they have to come up with yet another Blofeld plan for world destruction. But like I said before, I don’t really mind those nonsensical stories they use in the movies. Bond is atmosphere, women, sets, villains, set pieces …
I rewatched most Bond movies some 18-24 months ago, and some turned out to be much better, other far worse than I remembered
I hated Diamonds are Forever when I first saw it, but now it seemed an enjoyable piece of nonsense, and I thought those homosexual killers were funny.

The 1st CR is something like a parody or a comedy or a comment or whatever, but NSNA is clearly moulded in the tradition of the series. And it has Connery.
It makes sense and it is interesting to compare NSNA with the other 22.

I found it quite refreshing after years of Roger Moore.

Yes you’re right. The thing is, it’s not an official Bond film. So it’s not in the list.
Nevertheless it is one of my favourite ones, would be somewhere top5.
And yes. Moore is, let’s say, ok. But Pierce… Those movies are wasted time and money for me. I can’t stand them. Actually I haven’t even seen the one with Halle Berry completely, although she is in it.
I don’t like the humour in the Moore movies and the self ironic shit in the Brosnan ones is awful. If you’re making fun of the Bond stereotypes like that, why do you make Bond films at all?
I was really happy when the new Bond stepped onto the stage…

The movie, not the car.
Fortunately the latest Bond movies come up with an invisible Brosnan!
I find it funny that someone must have thought it’s a good idea. The worst thing about this horrible movie is the fact that it’s not even the most cringe-inducing idea in it.
Fortunately I can’t say anything about that
And, I have seen Halle Berry in this orange Bikini without watching the entire show. Best of both worlds…
I have to admit that the ‘evil Bond girl’ from DAD, played by Rosamund Pike, is much more my type of woman that Halle Berry
Speaking of aftermentioned cringe-inducing ideas, how do like the idea of guy getting his DNA transplanted and looking and acting different afterwards. No, i’m not making this up.
