James Bond

I don’t get this. Who will act how?

There’s a chinese guy [on the right], he gets his DNA transplanted and he becomes the guy in the left:

Die Another Day seems to be the worst Bond for most. For me it was an entertaining one. I don’t remember much of it. But the invisible car was really an idiotic idea. Even for films in which credibility was a foreign word from the beginning on.

The World Is not Enough was on the other hand a real goodie with a great pair of baddies (Sophie & Bob).

The weakest Brosnan was Tomorrow Never Dies which became too mechanical after half of it, and GoldenEye was the best, also for most of the fans.

The worst part of the Brosnan Bonds is that they retained the flat jokes, which were already awful in the Roger Bonds. First they should have kicked out Q and Moneypenny.

Same for me.
I remember the car and the bikini (and I don’t fancy Halle Berry), and the opening scene (which was quite good, but ended with a awfully silly joke)

Aha… what bullshit.

sorry, Korean, not Chinese. As you can see my mind tries to erase all the memeories of this shitty movie

Should’ve been an orange car and an invisible bikini if it’s got any chance in hell of me watching this shit.

But we have her invisible Bikini in this other film… this swordfish thing

Agree with most but IMO Q (the real one not John Cheese) was a highlight. In the World is not enough I love the boat chase sequence at the beginning with a little surprise for parking offenders.
Tommorrow Never Dies would have been quite ok without all the technical things in it and Michelle Khan as Kung Fu Figther would be ok in a Hong Kong Action Movie but in a James Bond Movie I don’t know. James Bond looks a bit weak next to her. Also I thought it was way too formulaic.
Die another Day … awful. Maybe the worst James Bond Movie but it would be good as Austin Power Vehicel.
Goldeneye is the best of the Brosnan Movie. Martin Campell who also directed Casino Royale did a good job and I like Famke Jansen as maniac bad Girl. Sean Bean as oppenent is quite good too. He could have played 007 by himself. The producers hadn’t as much budget as they had for the later Brosnan Movies but this one is his best.

She also wears an invisible bikini in monsters ball and she got an Academy Award for that.

I like Cleese as well, and he was OK in the movie, but nevertheless I don’t want too much funny stuff in a Bond. So, leaving him out in the new ones was a good decision, too.

I think, you’ve ben mistaken Paco! In Monster’s Ball it’s no invisible bikini, that’s an invisible bra!

Ohh?
I don’t know the swordfish thing? I got put off the 007 thing by Moore :stuck_out_tongue: (who I did like as The Saint tho’) and stopped watching this nonsense. The clips I saw of Brosnan did nothing to make me get back into the Bond franchise - tits or not. The latest Bond ones may have a chance - if one’s on the box when I’m in a suitable mood.
But I’m in no hurry, - so many SWs still to see. ;D

Bwah, Sylvia Kristel wore invisible clothes all the time and was never awarded

Yes, Sherp, but you know, that it’s always harder for foreing film to get an Oscar

Halle had an Academy Award Performance too when she got the little golden statue:

It’s disgusting!

It’s awful, pathetic & melodramatic
And worst of all: I guess it’s only a pose
She knows many people like trembling, shaking and crying winners who thank their mother, God & the Holy Ghost

Like most of her performances, this Oscar performance is excruciating

My brother is a big fan of her…

… he’s your brother !

Goldeneye was the only good Brosnan one and it would have been even better had Dalton been Bond.

Dalton gets slagged by critics and fans but in reality he was the closest to Fleming’s novels in attitude and appearence.
Craig has come close but he doesn’t fit Bond’s description at all.

I always liked Moore the best. Especially his late 70’s Bond films for the escapist fantasy they provide.
His last film is amongst the worst and FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (despite having an awesome opening) is snoozefest but OCTOPUSSY still remains as a favorite for me.

Connery was a great Bond but his films were much too slow moving (except for GOLDFINGER which is the best of the series).
The first four films (and Lazenby’s effort) were very close to the novels but Thunderball, From Russia With love and Dr. No aren’t nearly as good as the books. Goldfinger is the only one, to date, to surpass the text (mostly because the novel is a clumsy Fleming effort).

Craig’s debut wasn’t nearly as good as everybody said it was but it was an interesting direction to take the series.
QOS was a hopelessly average Bond movie I thought and they are deviating from what they originally planned with Craig.
They wanted to stick closely to Fleming’s novels.
QOS was going back to square one- Use a Fleming title then make up a script as you go along.
They’re betraying everything they set out to do with Craig.
I say re-do LIVE AND LET DIE and MOONRAKER with Craig and stick closely to the books which is something they neglected to do with Moore.
I love the original films but it would be nice to see them as Fleming wrote them
