Sorry about that. It turns out it’s the same as my tape. The film is also known as Saranda. I thought it was A Toast to Your Death (I haven’t been able to find a VHS of this one)
So the tape on the picture is not the Bianchini film then?
No it’s not. Very misleading I know!
Just ordered this now that it’s available from my usual ebay seller for blu-rays. Comes with a commentary track apparently.
Ah can see you took my advice regarding Saturn They have massive shops. Have a nice holiday.
Thank you Søren! Yes! Saturn at Alexanderplatz is very close to where we live so I went in like a child in a candy store. It was a bit overwhelming though, especially when you have to double check everything for english language options
There is also a Media Markt close to that Saturn that may be interesting too
And I live 10min away, but I caught a cold so meeting up is not in the table. Enjoy Berlin.
Sorry to hear that, get well soon! What media store would you recommend?
I buy mostly online, browsing Saturn is a good idea, sometimes Müller (a chain of drugstores) has a great niche selection too, but i dont know where there’d be one…
If you’re here longer check out the museum of film (sony center). One floor down is the Arsenal, a repertory movie theater
Very curious to hear how these turned out, will probably not get mine before end of next month…
I wonder what Cox has to say about these films… I don’t know because I havent’t read his book but it seems to me that he is a rather selective fan of Corbucci or Spaghetti’s as a whole… I guess we’re all selective to some point but sending off The Mercenary and Navajo Joe as horse manure doesn’t make me too comfortable having him in the commentary booth on this releases…
I didn’t receive that copy but a refund. Instead I have ordered this (unfortunately only with German audio which I normally find not appropriate for a SW - and neither would Swedish be - maybe even more silly but there are no such dubbed SWs as far as I know!) :
How come you didn’t recieve it?
It just didn’t arrive and there was no tracking. A few days after the last forecasted arrival day I contacted the seller via Amazon and he agreed to consider it to have vanished in the shipping procedure and I thereafter rapidly got a full refund from Amazon.
That sucks! Still there’s a chance it will pop up though. Postnord can fuck up things real good sometimes.
In this case it was to my Spanish apartment it didn’t arrive in Nov, and it still hadn’t arrived when I returned here just 1 1/2 month later. But it is no big deal I think when considering that around 35-40 other SW-packages have been received here and to Sweden in 1 1/2 year without too much trouble just Swedish customs a few times.
I have twice been given instant refunds from third party sellers after buying something from them that didn’t arrive. Both times with stuff where I thought, well that’s a great bargain. I’m pretty sure they never sent the item in the first place but just went through the motions. Not saying that that what’s happened to you but if you found that one for a great price it’s certainly possible. Also because you write that the seller gave you a refund after only a couple a days over latest delivery date. Just had a disc sent from Italy that took 18 days in turning up and actually arrived the day efter latest estimated delivery date. That the seller didn’t ask you to just wait a few more days is telling. Not many packages go missing and it’s certainly not always PostNord’s fault
