I Just Bought … (the SW Shopping Diary)

This is how it works: If you just came back from shopping and bought a Spaghetti Western on DVD, post it here. Please post a little picture of the cover, some basic data on the DVD and a link to the database entry on the film. I’ll start off with an example

DJANGO - ICH WILL IHN TOT (I want him dead / Lo voglio morto)

One of Koch Media’s earlier releases. Butt still decent quality, widescreen and uncut version. It offers German and Italian audio (no English). A 2-page booklet, trailers and picture galleries are the only extras. But I only paid 10 euros for it.

I just accidentially won my bid at ebay for the GIU LA TESTA Gold Edition

I just bought Johnny Yuma (Wild Eastern)…so now I’m waiting for it…Any thoughts on this one?
(Sorry no scan, look it up at www.wildeast.net)

Prepare for a real good treat! This is awesome film. My favourite Anthony Steffen movie along with Django the Bastard. William Berger’s performance as a preacher with his strange multi-barrelled rifle is really memorable.

nice, man!
the only unfortunate thing about the UK “duck you sucker” edition is that it is slightly censored, i am not sure about other versions of that DVD outside Great Britain. All I know is that the British one has censored horse falls and the German (albeit identical DVD) is not censored

Hmmm…I just ordered it :stuck_out_tongue:

I bought the german DVD of Companeros (little cuts) for 7,99€, Django il bastardo for 2,99€ and Non aspettare, Django, spara for 4,99€. So it makes together 16€. These are no special editions, but for these prices I think its OK!

hehe like I said, the uncut German Companeros DVD is just some days away

I didn’t know before. But Imean for 8€ it is ok. And those cuts are stupid, but not important for the plot. So they don’t destroy the movie. Let’s see what the new release will cost.

I’ve heard that the MGM release (which is the only one out there at the moment I guess) is actually cut. Runs about 97 mins although both the cover and imdb says it runs 118 mins. Is it true?

yeah as far as i know this is the uncut US theatrical release, which makes it cut compared to the original version. i own the DVD and the quality is okay, but i havent seen the movie in its entirety

Just bought Giu la testa german MGM gold edition.

And now German Kinowelt Django Box…
