I just bought.... (the CD/LP shopping diary!)

A Man Called Noon (Bacalov) soundtrack cd turned up today.

Gli Specialisti/Quindice Forche Per Un Assassino OST is on it’s way…very much looking forward to it!

It turned up this morning, and though it’s agreat listen, i have to say i’m a little disappointed as the song from Fifteen Scaffolds wasn’t on there and that was one of the reasons i wanted it in the first place!

What a bummer :(.

Yesterday a new bunch of cds arrived from the Beat Records shop:

Il grande silenzio / Un bellissimo Novembre (BEAT) (Ennio Morricone)
E Dio disse a Caino (BEAT) (Carlo Savina)
Dio perdona… io no! (Digitmovies) (Carlo Rustichelli)
I quattro dell’Ave Maria (2CD) (Digitmovies) (Carlo Rustichelli)

Great selection !!! I own the Morricone CD, not only IGS is just excellent. The score of ‘Un bellissimo Novembre’ (with Gina Lollobrigida and Gabriele Ferzetti) is also very nice. What do you think, Sören ?

I just heard the Great Silence score which is one of Morricone’s most atmospheric in my opinion. Whenever I hear it I see a horse wading over snow-clad hills. It’s very downplayed and silent music which is of course perfect for the beauty and white stillness on the screen but which also seems fitting to the violence happening on screen making it work that much stronger.

I am sorry to say that I ejected the cd after the Great Silence score was done and went for the next spaghetti in the pile… I’ll listen to Un bellissimo Novembre next time. Haven’t seen the movie so can’t readily relate to the soundtrack. But next time. I promise

Very rich in orchestra this one, and has some lovely tracks on.

Blood River (Dieci Bianchi Uccisi Da Un Piccolo Indiano) soundtrack L.P by Piero Umiliani, and do not think it is on C.D yet:

That’s a rare lp that is.

Oh it is a nice compilation indeed but normally goes for small money (I’m afraid to say).

Can be had brand new from cdpacific for $7.51:

If you want the other two volumes that are still in print (3 & 4) they can be had for roughly the same amounts.
