(Silver) #66

Thanks, Thanks and thanks again. Not too bad at the moment, just have a viral throat infection but it brought on a quite serious asthma attack >:(
Topo does live there. (Portugal). So I guess he cares as much as anyone but prefers to concentrate on happier things like a struggling football team and films that get no respect.
Pretty much like me really. ;D
that’s what every one does (including myself) , i’m sure, but being completely indiferent is almost impossible.

(El Topo) #68

Yeah better days will come, if not…well at least we end up knowing that we can not spend what we do not have, that what both our countries been doing the past years. But this one it’s a long history and not even worth it mate.

At least we got the French and the German tax payers paying for our roads ;D ;D

(John Welles) #69

And British!

(El Topo) #70

No not the British John, that you have to be grateful (or not depending on view) to Margaret Thatcher, (and the others that followed didn’t change that), for professional reasons I know a lot of EC accountancy and where most of the money came from, of course there’s no free meals mate and all this come with a cost, but hey that is a long history, not of interest for us. Anyhow I stop caring a long time ago and don’t trust in none of our stupid damned ass politics, like Wellington once rightly said, we are the ones that don’t know how to rule ourselves, but don’t let others do it, he was right.

(John Welles) #71

Ah right. I got confused with another country. Sorry.

(Sebastian) #72

Not sure how many new year topics we have (consolidated a few of those)… however, I got a treat for you

:

Dallas preceding Death Rides a Horse and The Mercenary… I should like the Reverend to comment on this!

(Asa) #74

Right, well as this somewhat toxic year breathes its last, thankfully, I guess it’s time for us to say “Off you f*ck, 2017!” in our own inimitable way, as we link virtual arms across the plains of the Internet to greet 2018 with a rousing chorus of Auld Spag Syne. Stroke of midnight, people! Wait for the bongs!

(to be sung at midnight to the tune of Auld Lang Syne. If you’ve actually got a jug of bourbon handy, well, all the better)

Sartana, Django, Companeros,
Minnesota Clay,
Return of Ringo, Pistoleros,
Any Gun Can Play.

For Auld Spag Syne, amigos,
Auld Spag Syne!
We’ll take a jug of bourbon yet,
For the sake of Auld Spag Syne!

Fort Yuma Gold, One Silver Dollar,
Acquasanta Joe,
Machine Gun Killers, Day of Anger,
God Forgives, I Don’t.

For Auld Spag Syne, amigos,
Auld Spag Syne!
We’ll take a jug of bourbon yet,
For the sake of Auld Spag Syne!

The Specialists, The Mercenary,
Arizona Colt,
The Ugly Ones, The Dirty Outlaws,
Texas Adios.

For Auld Spag Syne, amigos,
Auld Spag Syne!
We’ll take a jug of bourbon yet,
For the sake of Auld Spag Syne!

Garringo, Shango, Viva Django,
Find a Place to Die,
My Name is Pecos, Twice a Judas,
Vengeance is Mine.

For Auld Spag Syne, amigos,
Auld Spag Syne!
We’ll take a jug of bourbon yet,
For the saaaake, of Auld, Spag, Syyyyyyyyyne!
