I liked the cover art of some of their first releases (Shoot the living, pray for the dead, Massacre at Grand Canyon etc.) with original poster artwork and beautiful colours. Their digipack releases are otherwise handy but they look awful.
I quite like them digipack releases. and think the previous ones look cheaper.
there’s not gonna be any more digipak releases though
but i agree, the new covers are horrible
In the end I must say that it’s whats on the disc that counts And in that department Koch Media has never failed…
As long as they keep putting out quality stuff I’ll keep buying it no matter how awful the cover looks. But of course the original poster artwork would be preferable.
Heh heh! That was what I meant by scrambling around, amigo!

Well said, compadre!! I totally agree!
That’s right, but I don’t know why so much DVDs have more or less tasteless covers. It seems that the DVD companys are not so eager to sell their products, or they simply have no aesthetic sensibility, or it’s the great mass of consumers who have a different taste then me.
By the way, some of the Koch Digi packs belong imo to the most beautiful DVDs in my collection, especially Johnny Hamlet and Shoot Gringo Shoot, and also the Blindman DVD, which uses an indifferent (but ok looking) cover with no reference to the film, but the inside artwork looks great.
just got the new koch dvds in the mail. not sure when i find time to review them, though…
You know who to turn to, don’t ya Seb. !??!
I like the new covers!
Amazon has Töte Amigo and Der Tod Sagt Amen down has having English audio, hope this is true!
The Koch Media page says Arizona Colt Returns has German and Italian audio which sounds more plausible when thinking about Koch Media’s earlier releases:

Also I would much rather have Italian audio and English subtitles than English dub in these kind of movies where the main cast is Italian.
You’re right, just wishful thinking on my part Generally I just go for English audio DVDs (this is the bulk of my collection) will probably have to branch out to English sub DVDs in the near future.
correction: still haven’t received those koch media discs… hopefully soon though
update: I should receive the 4 upcoming DVDs…
stay tuned for kick-ass reviews of kick-ass discs.
oh, still have to finish my cemetery without crosses review
I bought them today, really nice work again, Koch Media!
well looks like there won’t be any exclusive reviews from my side, but i hate begging for those discs, if they don’t send them, screw 'em…
update: got all the 4 new koch media dvds in the mail today.
i will have reviews up as soon as possible.
they are all digipaks, yay!
I have ‘Yankee’ and ‘Arizona Colt returns’ !!! Nice digipacks, nice releases overall !!! Looking forward to watch 'em !!!
Is there any kind of “price watch” facility for german DVDs? Thanks in advance.
If you mean a price comparison site, you can use this one:
Just enter the title you want in the Pricevergleich field in the top left corner of the site and press the button - voila.
