[Germany] Plaion Pictures (Koch Media - Koch Films)

I have the same problem  Maybe i’m able to understand swearing in German in addition:P

This is one of the early Koch releases, but nevertheless quite good. The newer releases are much better in case of pacckaging and extras. But most have english subs…

espresso! cappucino! gelato! hahaha

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Phil H. I won it for £1.21 ;D

That’s brilliant. I’m glad a forum member was able to win it at such a good price.
I presume your german is better than mine!

Koch Media will send me their new catalog next week, with all titles and release dates. I asked them for official information, personally I hate all these rumors and stuff like that. personally, I trust DVD relese information only if it comes from the source directly (press releases etc)

Hear-hear! I, too, hate all the rumors regarding releases!!
I only believe what Ulrich tells me in regards to the KOCH releases. And even then…I am a bit wary!
Ha ha!

yeah I guess he would release a lot more if he were allowed to, but he has to make money as well and not just release his own favorite flicks through his own company

Good news. Is their Bullet for the Genreral longer than Anchor Bay’s release?

I just wish they had released the documentary as a bonus feature and not as a separate release. If it’s the same documentary that was on finnish tv recently it’s supposed to be waste of money. (I didn’t see it myself but I heard that it’s just a compilation of dvd extra interviews)

is there a longer version than the anchor bay? from what i can tell all are more or less uncut, and the new koch disc is just remastered compared to their previous release… we’ll see. i’m requesting review copies as we speak…

But this also means the picture quality will be better than the Anchor Bay-release which is at least something.

you’ll be able to read it soon, I will get press copies and make sure I have reviews ready as soon as possible. i also have the anchor bay disc so I can make screenshot comparisons

october 19

i hope to have reviews up no later than 4 days after i get the discs, but i dont know when i get the discs…

ill attach press releases as soon as I get them

Great news! And for those who don’t want to scramble around trying to figure out what the non-German titles for these movies, apart from YANKEE, might be…they are:

BULLET FOR THE GENERAL (QUIEN SABE)
ARIZONA COLT RETURNS (ARIZONA SI SCATENO… e LI FECE FUORI TUTTI)

Personally, I am VERY excited about the release of YANKEE (with English subs!!!). And I can’t wait to see the Steffen film DVD if for no other reason than to see the interview with my good amigo Dan van Husen!!
Personally, I am VERY excited about the release of YANKEE (with English subs!!!).
Me too. I’ve heard so much good about it and Tinto Brass is also one of my favorite directors (though I’m not expecting any nudity or asses in Yankee)

… or they might just look a couple of posts up from Sebastians where they were stated

I think the covers look horrible on those forthcoming Koch releases.

Agreed. They are almost unbearable to look at. Thank God it will be only the spine showing on the shelf
