i don’t care if a film has English subtitles or English language, as long as it has one of them i’m happy!
You can have different opinions regarding audio options, but generally speaking I think english is more suitable for westerns, even if the dubbing is sometimes bad.
Some Koch discs have english language options, Blindman for instance, and it would have been nice if they included it on more of their releases.

I agree wuth that! English audio is by fsr the most relaxt to watch a movie!
plus again I think more people over the world would buy a dvd with english audio instad of italian with english subs
There are a few movies were the parts were no english audio track for is is replaced by italian with english subs, I think that is a very good solution. I just dont understand why the German audio option has to be there!(ja ja for the german fans)
I think it’s the same in France, many people there only want to see movies dubbed in their own language.
It’s a little strange also that Koch don’t include english audio on their releases, since the other german DVD company X-rated have english audio options on almost all of their spaghettiwestern DVDs, and they have released a whole bunch of films.
What’s the matter with Koch Media ???
well you have to consider that this marked is a lot smaller than you think. A lot smaller. Acquiring the english audio tracks, buying them, restoring them etc, just doesn’t really pay out. for them, including english subs, which can be made really quickly (in just the time it takes to watch the movie), is enough for them so they can export some of them (mostly to people Bruckner probably knows personally, hehe).
get over it people, be happy these movies are available at all, these are products that don’t make money for Koch Media, this is something Bruckner can do at the end of every year when they have some budget left-over… that’s how I see it…
Yes the spaghetti western market is very small indeed. I believe that there was only done 5000 copies (correct me if I’m wrong) of the Sergio Sollima Box set from Koch Media and that is still readily available. There just isn’t that many people interested in the genre.
And yes again, we have to be very grateful indeed that someone like Ulrich Bruckner is associated with Koch Media ensuring that they release some decent stuff! They could just as well just have been releasing the westerns with German audio like so many other German spaghetti westerns releases so Italian audio and English subtitles is indeed something of an accomplishment.
Am getting his “Für Ein Paar Leichen Mehr” for Christmas just to support him! Kidding aside, I can’t wait to read it.
X-rated have a bit of a reputation for ignoring copyright issues etc. For example, the 2nd disc in their recent Light The fuse…Sartana Is Coming release is a rip-off of Wild Easts For A Few Previews More. So they probably include English audio on their DVD’s to increase their market, without owning the rights to do so. Koch Media seem a more reputable company and don’t do this.
What I like about english audio in spaghettis is also the various accents you hear, mostly spanish or american. Gives the whole thing a more authentic feel. It’s not the same thing if everybody speaks italian.
the thing is, that Koch is a German company, and in Germany the copyrights are a lot more strict than in the US, where these movies are being published in a gray zone, with unclear who the real copyright-owner is, etc. some companies just bootleg these then, in the US, and say the Berne Act allows this. I personally think it doesn’t, but I am not a lawyer. but read the berne act yourself and tell me 
I still think it’s odd that Koch can’t get hold of english language tracks to all of their releases, since X-Rated and also the Japanese Macaroni-releases come with english language.
the question is if they pay for it or just do it. Koch is a way bigger corporation than both of the others, and the spaghetti market is a tiny tiny niche market. maybe they don’t want to spend more than necessary on products that hardly sell at all anyways
Ok, too bad they don’t sell very well, but good that Bruckner is able to release many films, I guess we should be grateful for that of course!
And as we all know some films are re-dubbed by others, so the chance still exists for english language audio 
For any German or Italian speakers out there I just noticed a Koch Media version of I Want Him Dead on EBay UK with a current bid of 99p plus £1.20 postage. It still has a few days to go so it will probably increase a bit but not a bad price anyway. No good for me unfortunately as it has no english audio or dubs.

Learn some German you lazy bastards … The picture quality on the dvd is great and the movie is not half-bad… Get going.
Unfortunately my German never got further than high school beginners. So if the dialogue includes anything more complicated than Guten Morgen, wie gehts or any number between 1 and 100 I’m fucked.
LOL. In that case you might be in trouble with this movie… Nobody says goodmorning to anybody in this one as far as I remember 
There may be some bullet-counting but am not sure… A better move would also be to learn Italian instead.
I know less of that than German! Spanish would be ok. I did that at university. But Italian? Strictly limited to what I have learned from Movie titles.
