Death Weekend is an great movie, absolutely in the same vein as LHOTL, but still it’s no ripp-off.

well i finally watched deathproof and planet terror, planet terror was excellent and death proof was a total bore.i guess if you like to watch chicks talk for 2 hours or have a foot fetish you might like it.

(Earl McGraw) #125

Or if you like brilliant car-chases and good acting(Russell).

(Yodlaf Peterson) #126

Has anybody seen Alberto De Martino’s BLAZING MAGNUM, has one of the best car chases ever.

(ENNIOO) #127

Yes, excellent stuff… it just goes on and on !

(SARTANA DJANGO BALLADS) #128

YES I have seen it and it was a classic thriller/Giallo/exploitation.

BLAZING MAGNUM 1976 Stuart Whitman, John Saxon, Martin Landau

Extremely violent, realistic , thrilling giallo/exploitation Film set in Canada.
The always reliable/prolific leading man STUART WHITMAN plays Ottawa Police
Captain Tony Saitta.

Tony Saitta is ably assisted by sgt. Matthews played by that stalwart great
JOHN SAXON in hunting down a murderer who poisoned the Captain’s sister.

Elements of Giallos, Italian Police Thrillers, Usa Thrillers are blended into a
masterful cult thriller by top director Alberto De Martino.

Highly Recommended Viewing. **** 4 stars

My vote for BLAZING MAGNUM 1976 is 15.5 out of 20

Anyone else a fan of Pieces? I freakin’ love it… me and one of my buddies used to watch it religiously… I think it’s got to be one of the most hilarious horror films ever made. The recent Grindhouse release is excellent, was waiting forever for it

(Spaghetti Monkey) #135

Saw it at the drive-in back in the day, i really need to get that disc.

(Frank Talby) #136

I am with you Autephex Pieces is wonderfully trashy and insane. The new DVD was well worth the wait.

(Angel Face) #137

I’m definitely a fan.

http://www.coolasscinema.com/search/label/Pieces

I remember seeing the trailer for it back in 1983 and it played at the local theater. I didn’t see it till it hit video in 1984. I finally got to see it as well as the audaciously spectacular mannequin gore of HG Lewis’ BLOOD FEAST (1963).

(Frank Talby) #138

I love the blaxploitation genre. There are so many crazy characters in them it’s fun to watch over and over again. There will never be an era where movies like this will be produced.

(Reverend Danite) #139

I haven’t seen much (but I intend to). I also intend to get this album/cd.

I’ve included a link that lets you play snatches of the tracks.
