[DVD] Latest and Upcoming Releases

at some point they should stop re-releasing all that crap

Global’s latest release the widely anticipated Night Of The Serpent/Ringo Kill has been
released. This superb, magnificent release is an essential purchase. The print is clear,
concise with great colors & no dirt specks. The audio is first class.Loud & perfectly clear
so every word can be understood. This is a rare title that was believed to have in
remaining existence only the Italian audio available that is purchased/traded from collectors. This is a limited release so don’t miss out since this film should be in all SW
fans collections.
Note this title can be purchased from Naushad at his Ebay entry & Cinecity Rene’s
web site.
California coming from New Entertainment in Germany:

Italian, English and German dub. Don’t know the release date.
News flash: It will be released within the first two weeks of the new year.

The next spaghetti western release from New Entertainment following California should be Ein Loch in der Stirn aka Un buco in Fronte aka Hole in the Forehead. No English dub but English subtitles and should hopefully contain the Italian dub.

Is the italian release of Una Lunga Fila Di Crochi (No Room To Die) the only remastered SW from that DVD series?

I am very pleased with the quality and care for this release, compared to Wild East.

Yes as far as I know that is the only spaghetti western released by Raro Video. If you want nice quality spaghetti westerns you should (if you haven’t already) take a look at the ones being released by Koch Media in Germany. They are by the way releasing three new (well only 2 really as The Big Gundown is already out in the Sollima box set) spaghetti westerns on April 4th:

Der Gehetzte der Sierra Madre aka La resa dei conti aka The Big Gundown

Killer Kid

Django - Die Geier stehen Schlange aka Sette dollari sul rosso aka Seven Dollars On the Red

already up in the wiki for hours, you’re a bit slow this time

LOL. I know. The info is nearly a week old but since nobody had mentioned it in this thread I thought I might as well do it. I must confess that I spend more time on the board than in the wiki :-[

KILLER KID - I would like that one, my print is o.k. but fullscreen and a lot of the dialogue is off the edges. Any more info? I’m presuming that (like Yankee and others) that altho’ it may not mention English subs, they are there. Can anybody confirm this yet?

According to the database there is English subs;

Thanks ENNIOO, I only checked the Kochmedia catologue - I should’ve learnt by now how to do it right.
This is on my list then.

well i’ve put that in there because it’s probably true
there’s still some time till April, and I will get review copies from Koch

Go back a couple of pages in this thread Bill, it’s old news

holy shit they’re quoting US

I think we should mount an enourmous effort to have COMPACT, SOPHISTICATED and UNIFIED plot syopsis for ALL movies in our database, with more extensive, alternate or review-esque plot synopsis gathered in subpages. what do you think?

Good idea. We should also make sure all spoilers are removed from existing synopses. Every now and again I see one that reveals the ending!!

Anybody know anything about the coming German release of Corbucci’s Gli specialisti:

Has apparently got the French dub and German subtitles but no mentioning of aspect ratio.

release march 7th, not even kinowelt themselves have info up. but they have quality releases. it sais widescreen
we’ll see
this is the first time i’m hearing about this

Any chance of an english language option do you think? (subs or dub)

English dub
I very much doubt it, but I guess we will have to wait.
