Anybody here who knows the work of French writer Patrick Cothias very well?

wow a comics topic, i m home
Loveless is my all best western comics, especially when Frusin and Zezelj pencilled and inked it
Jonah Hex is quite cool, i red only few last issues, and it has quite right spaghetti feeling - despite movie which sucks absolutely
and i m notorious Hellblazer reader, especially these last issues are great - never thought John finalizes it to a wedding
i like postapo comics, so Wasteland was my another favorite ongoing series (when Chris Mitten was working on it)

does anybody remember SHI ?
i have around 130 comix to give away from 1994 - 2001.
if someone out there has interest, please let me know !

i love comics and graphic novels and read a lot of them my favourites so far are:

preacher

sin city

unknown soldier

y the last man

hellboy

bone

and samurai executioner

Last comic book I read was Jacques Tardiā€™s West Coast Blues.

Iā€™ve always loved Tardiā€™s work especially his detective stories, heā€™s very good at making comic adaptations from novels. I hate graphic novels which are more like illustrated novels. Tardi is very good at keeping the balance between the text and the art. For me he is also one of the best illustrators in the whole world. Thereā€™s just something in his artwork that charms me, at the same time itā€™s pretty plain and comic-like but heā€™s pictures are also filled with details.
West Coast Blues is a story influenced by Film Noir, actually quite basic story about a guy who is at the wrong place at wrong time and gets killers behind him. Violent story with nihilistic characters and dark atmosphere.

Does not look like a Tardi.

Technopriests saga by Jodorowsky and Janjetov (3 books)
Another sci-fi story set on the same world as Incal and Metabarons.
plot:

Albino is an old man, recording his memories in the spaceship where he navigates through space with his pet Tinigrifi, leading 500,000 young technopriests to the promised galaxy. His story begins when a spaceship of pirates attack on the sacred asteroid where Panepha, a young virgin destined to become oracle of the Imperial Palace, lived. The three pirates rape Panepha and she gives birth to three children: Almagro, Albino and Onyx. Albino is rejected by his mother, who creates and leads the Great Kamenvert Factory. But Albino doesnā€™t like making cheese, he wants to be a videogame creator. With some reluctance, his mother sends him to Don Mossimo, the director of a technopriest training school. There he begins his journey to become Supreme Technopriest and start a new society, where human relationships will be valued more highly than scientific advance.

Half of the story is the adventures of Albinoā€™s no-good family and half are about Albinoā€™s training in the techno school. Iā€™ve been also reading Jodorowskyā€™s book ā€œSpiritual Journey of Alejandro Jodorowskyā€ now which kinda made it easier to understand this complicated series. Jodorowsky has in a way transferred Zen buddhist philosophy and Japanese koans to his science fiction story. Artwork is really stunning even though Iā€™m not big fan of computer colouring.

Oh dear. They just killed him off again. :frowning:
