Anyone familiar with GDM catalogue would easily recognize cover art. I don’ know about movie quality but the score by Nico Fidenco is just beautiful.

Tequila Joe / A Hole Between the Eyes double bill available from Wild East now.

Just reviewed this duo.
Tequila Joe[/url] is certainly the highlight - a dark and well written film with some solid direction and Anthony Ghidra giving some very good acting (he plays a drunken sheriff entirely seriously, making him into a tragic figure rather than the comedy that a lot of genre films might have shoehorned in, particularly considering the script was from the writers of the MacGregor films). The DVD print looks and sounds very good, probably WE’s best release that I have seen thus far.
The second feature is [b][url=http://mondo-esoterica.net/Hole%20Between%20the%20Eyes.html]A Hole Between the Eyes[url]http://mondo-esoterica.net/Tequila%20Joe.html[/url][/b]. A rather generic film with Ghidra in a typical Django style role (could this be the prequel to Django the Last Killer?) it is watchable but readily forgettable. The print looks good, but the audio is quite poor in places, sounding quite muffled.
So certainly worth getting for Tequila Joe alone, its first English friendly DVD release - A Hole Between the Eyes makes for an interesting bonus.

Tequila Joe just missed being in my top 20. Awesome film, even if it looks like Mimmo Palmero was not available to film his death scene, hence the stand in with the white shirt lol.
Hole in the forehead is decent too. Watch out for the unintentionally hilarious scene when the girls try to crawl out of the gravel pit.
