Where are you from, stranger?
No one from Italy? thats just weird!
Well the fact that there is a special forum for italians in this one shows that there have to be some. but the number of posts show that they arent very active. Maybe they are afraid of talking english? But i would love to hear opinions from anybody. Dont care about perfect english. Im surprised we have so many people from scandinavia. Thought they were just interested in porn and drinking vodka. hehe just kidding those two things are interesting in my life too, maybe we should start a post on them.

That was a long time ago, back in the 1970s there was a lot of sex films and porn being produced in Sweden.

Now this country has become very puritan and politically correct instead. But there still is this reputation I guess.

That’s interesting to know.

The U.K where I live has gone to politically correct for it’s own good .

Well I’m from Denmark, but you must have gotten something very wrong though. In Sweden and in Norway drinking is almost banned, the only alcohol, if you can call it that you can purchase in regular shops is light beer.
If you want to purchase real alcohol in Sweden you have to go to special shops called “systembolaget” which are very few and only located in larger towns.
There also used to be restrictions on how much you could purchase, I don’t know if sales are still restricted though it’s been a loooong time since I last purchased Vodka in Sweden.

That’s right, alcohol is only sold in special shops, but there is no restriction as to how much you are allowed to purchase.

Prices are higher though than in Denmark and Germany for example, so many people buy big quantities of alcohol when visiting those countries by car.

I think it’s in Finland they drink a hell of a lot of vodka

But people actually drink a lot in Sweden too, just like in England.

I think people on the continent have a more relaxed way of dealing with alcohol.

I drink mainly beer and wine nowadays. Few years ago I used to drink a lot of rotgut! That was fierce stuff.

It’s probably in Russia they drink the most vodka.

Never heard of “rotgut”, though.

Well Poland is also vodka country, but i didnt wanna start a discussion. I think people drink everywhere. I also heard that since it is so expensive in scandinavia that they “produce” their own liquor quite often.
Here in germany we have a big outcry when a box of beer(20 bottles of 0.5 litre each) costs one euro more; now i pay for my kölsch(the only language you can drink Kölsch (beer) - Wikipedia) box 13 euro. But why dont we discuss this in the drink topic?

Well, i guess vodka is popular in Poland, but for example I’m not a great vodka lover and prefer beer, wine and whiskey

You’re thinking about Norway… Several Norwegian’s have gone blind or died drinking that stuff… The liquor in Denmark where I live is cheaper now than it has been in many years. The Danish government decreased the tax on alcohol a couple of years ago to avoid too many people travelling across the border to Germany and buying the stuff there instead.

New York City,Berkeley ,Cal.,Tucson,Sydney.

Suprisingly, there are no Italians on the poll.

No one from Spain, either.

A friend of mine is moving back to Spain and has offered me a place to stay when I visit. Sounds like a trip coming up!

Sweden is we’re I live.
Sweden is we’re I live.
The girls pretty hot there? Or is that just a stereotype?

He, he both of you can say. Off course there are a certain way a girl should look today, but still there are off course many pretty girls here. But there are no longer ladies like in the 70’s. I’m thinking off Edwige Fenech, Barbara Bouchet, Corinne Cleary, Rachel Sweet and so on…
New York & Montana
Your the first person I’ve even heard of, from Montana. If you move out, I guess the population drops 25%. lol

From Hungary.
