What is the worst SW you saw?

So it’s slightly cut. But maybe it’s enough running time for a bit of fun inbetween.

how’s the picture quality on the one you have?

I’d say getting the extra runtime and audio tracks would justify… but that’s me…

The picture is ok, let’s say normal.

There are other NEWs I should buy before W Django.

The uncut version is definitely much better.

Yes, Umiliani’s score was very good but it tries to be a comedy sometimes and I have a very poor DVD version of it. It’s however not the worst sw I’ve seen.
NEW edition states running time as 90 minutes.
According to Giusti’s Dizionario the original italian release running time was 95.
So yes, 78 is cut a fair bit.
I begin to understand why I did’nt like this film. I have Dagored films DVD wich is 78 minutes, very bad quality, and the intro was just stills!

I thought this one was a breath of fresh air after writing off Mulargia as a hack, and it made me appreciate Anthony Steffen a bit more than I did. The man is capable of doing a good movie. I really don’t see the point of being overly critical of these movies or any genre really. Unless the film aims to take itself seriously or be passed off as high art, I only ask to be entertained.

Theres been some talk about bad or crap movies lately and imo some (not all) of those mentioned dont belong with the worst of the worst. To put “bad” in perspective I thought it might be a good idea revive this thread… The worst I’ve seen so far is: Lo chiamavano Tresette… giocava sempre con il morto.

a barrel full of dollars starring tom bets and claus kinski total crap
fidani at his best! and clint the stranger come close
but i have a new top 20 crap list, i will put it next year

I think you mean Jack Betts (Hunt Powers) but who knows? Maybe Tom isn’t telling us something. :o

yes hunt powers…

LOL

Judging spaghetti westerns is totally subjective , (as far as bad ones go!) what some think are crap, others think great , anyway enough of this navel gazing… My vote for a bad one is “LAW OF VIOLENCE”- I think its directed by Gianni Crea , i don’t know if its the video transfer but every scene looks cheap and underlit , it has a good Stelvio Cipriani score which is buried alive through over use ( the beginning scene features a looong 360 degree pan just so Crea can use the music. The actors are pretty bad , you know your’e in trouble when the lead actor has “SS EXPERIMENT LOVE CAMP” as a career highlight ! ) an illogical script puts the finishing touches to the film , now despite everything i’ll probably have another look at this tonight , what i mean by that is a really terrible film will turn your eyeballs to lumps of stone! (this was out in the early days of U.K video on the VPD label )

mine is “Bad Man’s River”.
such a cast and i think a big budget, and such a boring result …
it’s a shame that the german dvd of that crap is named Matalo. everyone involved in “Mátalo!” should bring MCP to court for that !

But that’s the original German title for the movie. Not something MCP made up. But could be interesting to hear what the reason for choosing that title was. Mixup perhaps with the real Matalo which was of course then called Willkommen in der Hölle … Some Germans in here will know for sure

Despite Craig Hill and the good character played by Remo Capitani (Diego d’Asburgo), till today the worst SW I’ve seen is without any doubt Bada alla tua pelle Spirito Santo! (1972) directed by Roberto Mauri.

‘the hills run red’ total trash

I wouldn’t consider it worst…Nothing with Henry Silva can be bad to me! Maybe most boring

Hills Run Red is in my top 20, so I disagree as well.

the main character was really bored and the he’s voice sound like a girl
