Saw the Bronx Executioner today… Apparently most of this film is a stolen from another post apocalyptic movie L’ultimo guerriero which I haven’t seen… The dubbing in this one is mostly terrible. The ‘lead’ a certain Dakar, head of the humanoids, sounds as if he has only two states of mind: “pissed” and “damn angry”. Hilarious to listen to but only if you understand to appreciate it Definitely recommended but don’t expect a high-class movie, this is budget when it is lowest.
Yeah plus watch him in Rolling Thunder.
Watched Lamberto Bava’s giallo Body Puzzle last evening. I might have seen some slobby police work in previous gialli but this one takes the pot. The inspector in charge of finding the murderer at one point when he has found out how it all connects takes the blame for the last murder. He should have taken the blame for them all except the first. The most basic police work would have unravelled the whole thing in the beginning.
Damn thin plot with a lot of ‘why-the-hell-do-they-do-that’ moments in the movie. The only good thing was that the dvd-release I watched (from Madacy) was presented in approx. 1.66:1 (probably OAR) and not fullscreen as promised on the cover.
Not really recommended unless you are a fan of policework-gone-wrong movies.
Ed.: Gianni Garko has a very small role in the movie to please us spaghetti western maniacs. Too small to make a difference though.
Watched A Man Called Magnum. Not bad, but it just seemed to lack tension, or a sense of urgency somehow, when compared to the other crime films i’ve seen (though admittedly that’s only a handful). It was the first one i’d seen with Luc Merenda and i’m assuming he has been in better ones. Any recommendations?
Watched Rambo. Very violent movie, some nice action scenes, but there are also genocide scenes that are sometimes hard to watch. It’s obvious that Stallone tried to make a statment with this movie, not only make a simple action movie. Very good movie i must say.
Which Part? I’m still unsure if I should watch Rambo IV in cinema or wait to rent the DVD.
Have you seen The Violent Professionals by Sergio Martino?
That reminds me I have Deadly Chase to watch with Luc Merenda :).
The newest one aka. as Rambo IV

Nope…but i’ll keep an eye out
Well you know where you can get them anyway ;).
;D ;D
Watched Violent Naples yesterday. Good, fast moving fun.
And this morning, The Case Of The Scorpion’s Tale. Had a strong feeling who the killer was (which proved to be right…mostly). Nevertheless, very entertaining.
I watched Eastern Promises yesterday in the cinema. It was a real nice atmospheric mafia crime thriller. The cast was really great with a great vigor mortensen and Armin Mühler-Stahl as a convincing russian mafia boss. Very violent and graphic at times. Even though it had some unrealistic scenes and ideas, the atmosphere is really dense.
Highly recommended especially if you like films about mafia. And it has a naked fight scene with mortensen for the ladies, if they can stand the violence that might come close to some italian horror classics.
Gonna finish watching Martin Scorcese’s A Personal Journey Trough American Films. Watched it till the piece about gangsterfilms and it’s very interesting so far.
There’s ‘Fucking Amal’ on arte tonight ! I wonder whether it’s worth to watch or not !? Lindberg, you’ve (had?) a picture of the actresses in your avatar: Alexandra Dahlström and Rebecca Liljeberg ! Of course it’s Swedish from 1998, is supposed to be the biiig box-office hit of the nineties in Sweden !!!? Recommended ???
Yes Fucking Åmål is one of my favourite films, but don’t expect any shooting in this one
And it should be watched in it’s original Swedish language, not dubbed in German or French.
I have different pictures of Alexandra Dahlström and Rebecca Liljeberg, off-screen at this moment

Oh no, I know what it’s about. Well, I won’t be able to watch it in its original language but hope it’ll be fine in German dubb. Looking forward to it !!!
Just finished watching this fine movie. Really enjoyed it !!!
Caligula
Nude for Satan
Both were dvd projections to screen (about 3 x 2 meters). Great way to watch a film!
BUTTERFLY ON THE WHEEL (2007)
A psychological thriller with Pierce Brosnan and Gerald Butler
Both actors cast against type, which adds to the fun
Running time is only some 1:25 (plus end credits), and that’s an asset too
Pretty good thriller, but don’t think about it too long afterwards
Just watched A Personal Journey with Martin Scorcese through American Movies. Very interesting and beautiful documentary that shows us where Scorcese got his inspiration. Lot’s of beautiful filmfragments and a good voice over by Scorcese. 8/10
