Probably, but I didn’t really care for it either… It’s an ok movie but definitely nothing special. Quicly degenerates into your standard-fare zombie movie (yeah I know they are not zombies per se)… 28 Weeks later is even worse in my opinion so you might not care for that one either…
Add me to this list. I wasn’t very impressed with it either. Nor with any of the other UK stuff, like Dog Soldiers or The Descent. Then again, i really do prefer older stuff i guess.
28 Days later I found boring and not enough gore in for my liking. Do not tend to like many recent U.K made films for whatever reason.
Mario Bava’s " Hatchet For The Honeymoon|". tonight.
A good one! And very amusing.
What did you not like about DOG SOLDIERS? I loved that one.
I don’t have anything specific…just found it a drag really. Poor effects and acting (though to be honest i’ve let that slip with soooo many other films). Funny thing is, despite being from the UK i really don’t like many (modern) UK horrors…
I liked the buildup in it. I do love Brit Horror and while the recent output has been nearly nonexistent I did like the effort with Dog Soldiers. Are you a fan of the Hellraiser series (the first two anyway)?
I’m with Frank on DOG SOLDIERS, like that one a lot
The first two are absolutely awesome, work nicely as one long movie. I’ve not seen the last two, but 3-6 are guilty pleasures for me. I know they’re not good, but i find something to like in all of them.
Actually yes, particularly Hellraiser 2. I think i saw the 3rd one and found it a bit disappointing.
I did however find the 4th quite interesting (if this was the one set in the past, present and future, with the origin of the box)

I enjoy the whole series on one level or another but yes the first two are great and I did get to see Hellraiser 4 in the theater (that is the one with the past, present, future settings).
Same here. I really like Part 6 as it brought back Ashley Laurence. Check out the last one which is Part 8 Hellworld. It’s pretty good and has Lance Henriksen in it.
Never knew they were up to part 8 !
Ok this wasn’t directed at me…but Lance Henriksen is always an incentive for me!
yep and here’s the entire series…
Hellraiser
Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth
Hellraiser: Bloodline
Hellraiser: Inferno
Hellraiser: Hellseeker
Hellraiser: Deader
Hellraiser: Hellworld
Lance seems to be doing tons of horror movies at the moment… Taking on relatively small parts but probably cashing in big time (relatively speaking)… Kinda like the same thing Kinski did in his sw-period… He (Lance) participates in a bunch of bad movies I’m sure, but I know who’s laughing at the end of the day.
If you’re hooked on Henriksen-movies you should check out Jennifer’s Body where he has a whopping screen time of 10 seconds or so
Uncredited though. Didn’t know he was in it before suddenly, “hey isn’t that Lance He…” and there he went… ![]()
How was JENNIFER’S BODY? Looked absolutely awful to me.
The one good thing about being type cast like Lance is he can get steady work in the horror genre. It’s never a bad thing to be type cast. Even the late Peter Cushing never had a problem getting that label. He worked for a long time in a genre that was very kind to him for the most part.

I think I’ve seen them all apart from number 2. Heard that 2s are often bad movies so have skipped it so far
I have the box set containing the first couple of movies so am bound to watch it some time
I find the series pretty interesting too… They aren’t all solid movies but haven’t found any of them boring… Hell even number 3 has it’s charms… Who can forget cd-man

I liked the home made cenobites in part 3 as well. Don’t forget all the others as well - Barbie with his flaming cocktail and Camerahead or whatever his name was… I also thought Terry Farrell as the lead was a major babe.
In regards to part 2’s this one is very good and almost as good as the original.
What the… Just the title of the movie should be a sure selling point… It is a fine movie, pretty hilarious at times (and very bloody) but not that spectacular … It’s above average in my book and certainly way better than the over-hyped Drag Me to Hell …
