I am new here and these are my Top 20 though I do many movies unjustice with this collection.
I also must admit that i have only seen some 100 movies by now. The two Sartanas, Sabata and Apocalypsis Joe are in this list mostly due to the outstanding german dubbing. I haven’t seen some popular ones like Matalo, Day of Anger, Requiescant, Tepepa, If You Meet Sartana Pray for Your Death and Cut-Throats Nine. Actually the first three haven’t got any order for me so I threw some dices and placed the Great Slicence on the top. I deliberately ommited all of the Revolution-Western cos I don’t know where to place them.

9 My Name is Nobody
10 Blindman
11 Mannaja
12 Kill Them all and come back alone
13 A Fistfull of Dollars
14 Death rides a horse
15 Light the Fuse…Sartana is Coming

18 And God Said to Cain
19 God Forgives…I Don’t
20 Sabata
I have deleted the TOP 20 I made without the Zapatas and my old list is therfore still the one that counts.
I still mean what I wrote about the Zapatas not being real westerns though.
“I don’t consider The Mercenary,A Bullet for the General,Companeros, Duck you sucker and Tepepa real westerns and therfore neither of them are on my list.”
Truth is, I would prefer it if they were in for the simple reason of comparableness.
Maybe you think about it.
That’s okay with me. Just ignore this last list of mine and let my old one be the one that counts.
The only thing I did with this new list was to pull The Mercenary, A bullet for the genneral and Companeros out of it and add the lowest three entries instead.
Korano, you mean, you don’t think that this list will change again?
Your new list is full of surprises. Mainly as it had changed nearly completely.
How came you have changed such a lot? Change of taste? What happened to your former # 2 Companeros? Or the other films which made your top 10 before like Cemetery without Crosses, Tepepa, Great Silence.
Interesting that Death Rides a Horse wasn’t in your list before and that GBU is now on top of it. I thought you weren’t very fond of GBU.
A list without The Great Silence and Once Upon a Time in The West is a hell of a list, take it lterally.
Maybee sometime I will reconsider my list too but at the moment i am fine with it though the revolution Westerns have to be dealt with in a better way. I liked the Mercenary pretty much.
That’s a pretty controversial list you’ve got there korano. Once Upon a Time in the West isn’t as good as Death Rides a Horse? And where’s The Great Silence or For a Few Dollars More? Don’t you really rate Leone at all?
:o :o :o You’re right, korano list is pretty mild compared to yours! :)
I don’t know if it’s that controversial apart from Shotgun. So forgettable movie.
