I will make the next update most likely on New Year’s Day.
So if some of you guys will prepare a new list or will alter their old lists …
The most recent Top 20 I posted is still good for me.

I think there’s a couple changes and I sure won’t be watching any new one’s this week!

20 And God Said To Cain

seriously? :frowning:

Not just being # 12 but it’s some of the titles that are above it. El Puro, California & I Want Him Dead? That’s what make these lists fun to discuss.

Seriously! I love all my top 20. No. 12 isn’t that much below any above it in enjoyment. After the top 2 there is very little difference between #3 and #20.
Hi,
I’m a new member in this Forum, and I like Lists.
OK Brother Stanton - here ya go…

OLD LIST

  1. For a Few Dollars More
…(there will be no more Leone’s now. It’s just that I think that this is so perfect. AFOD and AFODyna don’t come near - altho’ they are still great; TGTBaTU is overblown in comparison (but still great) and I hardly see OUATITW as a spaghetti at all. (Of course it is really, but it’s so epic … unbelievably good - one of the best Westerns ever - but that’s it … it’s crossed a border for me - Leone finally made the film that took him out of this genre. In my view just because he’s Italian and it’s a Western does not mean that this is a spaghetti - OK it is, but fuck it, it aint going in anyway.
  2. Django
  3. Cemetery without Crosses
  4. Face to Face
  5. The Big Silence
  6. A Bullet for the General
  7. The Return of Ringo
  8. Django Kill

  10. $10,000 for a Massacre
  11. Keoma
  12. El Puro
  13. A Man Called Sledge
  14. The Big Gundown
  15. The Hellbenders
  16. A Man Called Blade
  17. California
  18. Duel in the Eclipse
  19. The Dirty Outlaws
  20. Blood at Sundown/$1000 on the Black

NEW LIST

  1. FAFDM
  2. Cemetery without Crosses
  3. $10,000 Blood Money/For a Massacre
  4. The Great Silence
  5. California
  6. A Bullet in the Forehead
  7. Return of Ringo
  8. The Bounty Killer
  9. The Big Gundown
  10. Django
  11. El Puro
  12. Keoma
  13. Night of the Serpent
  14. The Dirty Outlaws
  15. Johnny Hamlet
  16. Black Jack
  17. Vengeance for Vengeance
  18. No Graves on Boot Hill
  19. Kill The Wickeds
  20. A Man Called Sledge

A fistful of changes - but it’s been a while (page 12). In the ‘awards’ thread of Col. Mortimer, I had to be objective and vote for who I thought deserved … trying to use my head over my heart. This list is more subjective and comes from the heart. It was sad to see The Hellbenders go, and both Cost of Dying and Challenge of the McKennas could’ve got a bit nearer on a different day.
I’ve left in my old list, my reasons for NOT including OUATITW - that argument still holds (and I notice from going back over old posts, this was pre-dated with an argument by Brother Lindberg). Of course I realise Seb could have me thrown off the board for such blasphemous talk (in his eyes ;)) but a man’s gotta do…
[i]FOD[i] was considered tho’ - jus’ because I’ll never get over the time with the “Mild Bunch”, beer in hand, Almeria in the background, and then suddenly realising I was actually sitting between two of the buildings from the film. Emotional stuff, but I did eventually just stick with the most deserving Leone offering.
(Oh yeah - an’ in my list, in my eyes, AMCS IS a spaghetti western.)
So here ya go fellahs …
seriously? :(
i’m saying nothing, my jokey comment before wasn’t appreciated. ;D
12. Shotgun

  1. A Gun For 100 Graves

  2. Arriva Sabata
Please, just give me the directors or Italian titles of those 3, I’m too lazy to check them in the data base.

Speech is Silver, Silence is 13 years old

I don’t really understand this scherp. Silver ??? ?
If you’re alluding to the use of ‘bad language’ then I see your point regarding Silence (age 13).
My rudeness is ironic and aimed at myself via Stanton and Yodlaf (2 people who I know wouldn’t be offended). The word itself means little without the context. It can be used in a violent or violently sexual way (which is not my intention here) - or it can be used in a post-modern :stuck_out_tongue: ironic way - which IS what I intended.
I would not moderate my language to other (consenting) adults in this context - regardless of Silence’s age. He’s gonna come across this word many a time in his journey - and my contribution aint gonna do him no harm.

Shotgun

La vendetta è il mio perdono - Roberto Mauri

A Gun For 100 Graves

Una Pistola per cento bare - Umberto Lenzi

Arriva Sabata
#Arriva Sabata! - Tulio Demicheli

Ah, thanks, the titles in my German book are different for the last 2
