Vote for Our Official Top 20

Thanks fellas. You are too nice. It is nice to be back.
No problemo!

I felt there was something wrong with your list but couldn’t name it. And it wasn’t this Mexi Spag. Now it’s perfect.
Studied some Italian lately? You got even the Italian title of “For a Few Dollars More” right (except for più). It’s indeed “Per Qualche dollarO in più”, and not, which would have been more logical, DollarI

In Italian qualche (a few) is followed by singular, not plural. In other words, they say: A Few Dollar, instead of A Few DollarS
Your reviews and exactly these explanations are the reason why you belong in the hall

Ah hoi hoi! I’m a brand new member and thought I’d leave my footprint on this wonderful site by posting in this here thread before I might become a regular. I’d be happy to receive private messages or replies to chat about anything SW, in hope to get me into this forum, because every beginning is difficult. Although I feel like I’ve been watching Spaghettis for almost as long as I am eating them I still have a lot of watching to do (fortunately) and I expect my list to change radically over time.

Hey Hungry Bear,

have a close look at you # 15 and 16

Hi there Systematicer! Hopefully you will be with us for a long time to come!

btw our Top 20 is also on iCheckmovies.com

a very addictive site btw, my nickname there is SebastianSWDB

beginning to think whether the SWDB shouldn’t have some sort of “official” consensus top 20 essential/editor’s choice list (that doesn’t change), and a community top 20 (one that might change with votes). that would also make the list “prettier” etc… what do you think?

What do you think of the list of 20 so-called essential spaghetti westerns I selected a while ago for lordradish’s site
We could discuss the list first - it’s not really a top 20, but a list of the most representative movies - and then see what we do with the texts. I could rework them a little, or others could select one or more titles and write their own texts:

http://fistfulofpasta.com/index.php?go=articles/top20a

http://fistfulofpasta.com/index.php?go=articles/top20b

however we decide, and i am sure we find a great way to do it, I just had an idea on how to make our lists (and there can be more), better navigable and will implement a little navigation bar during the course of the day. it will make it easier for visitors and more accessible. i mean we already hae the top 20, the alternative top 20, alex cox list, quentin tarantino list, staff favorites. this is quite a great resource

This 20 SWs list of Scherp pretty much nails it. Even beyond personal preferences these films somehow represent the evolution of the genre with the most important films regarding quality and influence. That’s basically the outcome if you check most of the available sources. Our forum and data base amongst them.

I would maybe change 2 or 3, but maybe not.
