But that is not how the alternative top 20 is supposed to be done.
Of course it is, what are you talking about?
The alternative top 20 films are not your # 21 - 40, but your 20 favourite Spags without the forum’s top 20 (actually to make it more tricky only the forum’s top 18 at the moment)
Now if we look as example at Wobble’s list, then these are also in the forum’s top 18, and are for that reason not allowed:
- GBU
- OUATIW
- The Great Silence
- FAFDM
- FOD
- The Big Gundown
- Duck You Sucker
- A Bullet for the General
- The Return of Ringo
- Keoma
- The Mercenary
- Death Rides A Horse
- Day of Anger
But these of his top 20 should be automatically also in his alternative top 20, because they are not in the forum’s top 18:
- Tepepa
- A Pistol for Ringo
- Arizona Colt
- Django Kill
- Dead Men Ride
- The Forgotten Pistolero
- If You Meet Sartana Pray For Your Death
The alternative list of Wobble would then contain also his next 13 films to fill up the 20, but again without any of the other top 18 films. Like Django.
Well, it’s a bit confusing, but the rules as defined by Phil can be checked in the first post of the Alternative Top 20 thread:
Ok, we’ve talked endlessly in the past about compiling an extended list of member’s favourites or alternative top 20 and never decided on a format that everyone likes so rather than wait any longer I figured I would just go ahead and start a new list based on an idea I put forward a little while ago. Fundamentally the idea is this. I’d like everyone to submit a new Top 20 on this thread with the one rule that no film on your list can be one that appears on our current Official Top 20. So as t…
Yes, I’m well aware of this as the rules have been brought up time and again on here. I was just saying he could make an alternate list if he hasn’t already.

Nice to see this one so high ! Love it ! The style is SOOO nice.
Although I still ONLY have it at
12 Johnny Yuma (Romolo Guerrieri) music Nora Orlandi 1966
13 The Forgotten Pistolero/Gunman Of Ave Maria (Ferdinando Baldi) music Roberto Pregadio 1969
14 The Stranger Returns/A Man, A Horse, A Gun (Luigi Vanzi) music Stelvio Cipriani 1967
15 Kill The Wicked/ God Does Not Pay On Saturday (Tanio Boccia) music Angelo Lavagnino 1967
16 Viva Django / Django, Prepare A Coffin (Ferdinando Baldi) music Gianfranco Reverberi 1968
The official Top 20 is TOO political left wing in my NSH view
