damn, 20 movies ain’t easy fellas. especially since i lack some essential movies like tepepa, matalo, death rides a horse, the grand duel and sartana

Just a quick commentary on the battles going on here as I’m revising the top 20. First off, It’s an all-out war between For a Few Dollars More and Once Upon a Time in the West. Those two have swapped places at least four times! Also, as people adjust their lists, Keoma and Run, Man, Run are losing ground fast with Cemetery without Crosses and a couple Sartana flicks creeping in for the ambush.

May the best gun win!

1—THE GOOD,THE BAD AND THE UGLY
2—FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE
3—THE GREAT SILENCE
4—THE COMPANEROS
5—A BULLET FOR THE GENERAL
6—CEMETERY WITHOUT CROSSES
7—TWICE A JUDAS
8—A PROFESSIONAL GUN
9—DJANGO KILL
10–VENGEANCE
11–IF YOU MEET SARTANA PRAY FOR YOUR DEATH
12–I AM SARTANA—THE GRAVEDIGGER
13–ACE HIGH
14—TODAY IT’S YOU TOMORROW,IT,S YOU
15—DJANGO
16— A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS
17–DJANGO THE BASTARD
18–FOR A COFFIN FULL OF DOLLARS
19–ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST
20–ROUGH JUSTICE

ouatitw on place 19?
let’s go outside and settle this, gringo!

And worse than “Today it’s me, tomorrow it’s you”, “Django the Bastard” and “Ace High”. Wooohhha. This cannot be true.

Any Gun Can Play and the Garko Sartana’s are having a surprizingly poor showing.

Any Gun can play is in my opinions so bad, because Anthony Steffen is so weak. Without him it would have worked much better…

I seem to be a little late, but here is my top twenty:

  1. Fistful of Dynamite
  2. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  3. Django Kill
  4. And God said to Cain
  5. For a Few Dollars More
  6. Django
  7. The Great Silence
  8. Bullet For The General
  9. Once Upon a Time in the West
  10. Keoma
  11. Four of the Apocalypse
  12. A Fistful of Dollars
  13. Run Man, Run
  14. The Companeros
  15. Vengeance
  16. Texas Adios
  17. Sabata
  18. Face to Face
  19. Death Rides a Horse
  20. Mannaja

it’s never too late.
our ranger is updating his list caluclation every 10 new lists.

nice list, i think you’re the only one with Duck you sucker on top. i was actually thinking of dropping it out of my list
and i hate you now for having OUATITW at 9

but i am just being funny

Yes, I had never really attempted to rank them before, and was suprised myself at the result. Numbers one and two were the only ones that came easy for me. Such epic peices of art.

Yes!!! It’s so nice to see some love for Four of the Apocalypse! It’s such an unconventional western and so often overlooked. Good call Ginger Man!

There’s no Anthony Steffen in Any gun can play. It’s George Hilton film.
-but I agree, it’s not top20 film.

Comment:

The first time I saw a SW, I was seven… and it was OUATITW… Like Obelix, I felt in the magic SW potion when I was a child
Sorry for the Sartana’s Fans, I’ve never seen one of the movies :’(. But they are in my want-list…
Yes, I like “The 3 Sergio”, Castellari and Tessari… But movies like"Blindman", “Django Kill…”, “Matalo” or the Fulci’s SW are very originals and unique in the “cult SW story”…

Here’s my Spaghetti Western Top 20 :

  1. The good, the bad, and the ugly

Oh, my mistake. I thought of “No room to die”. I don’t know why “Any gun can play” came to my mind. I’m sorry…

When will voting close on this? I’d like to re watch a couple before I vote, and may sneak a new SW or two in as well. Seems like a good system.

This thing will never close. Cause the Raner updates this every ten new lists. And i believe the forum is growing and so it’ll never stop
