Yeah, i guess it was a very standard type western. And it was very obvious who the villains were… I was just glad i didn’t find it quite as dull as i’d been led to believe it was…

- good cast
- technically well made
- Gordon Mitchell is a blast as Baltimore Joe
Overall I’d say the movie is not a must see but worth a watch, if you don’t expect too much spaghetti style !!!

The X-Rated version must be out by now ! Since I had heard of the release I wanted to rewatch my old tv-version and recently did ! The DVD’s price scared me off !!! As far as I know there’s nothing on it that could justify that price: Super8 Bonus - Django Kill (black and white, running time about 10min.) !!!
me and my cousin have been watching clints westerns the last 2 weeks, tonight was HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER.we will probably skip joe kidd niether one of us like that one. :’(
I saw the film I announced yesterday in another thread: GOD FORGIVES … I DON’T !
It was a lot better than I expected (and remembered: I saw it somewhere back in the eighties) and a lot better than BOOT HILL, that I saw a few months ago.
It’s more plot-heavy than the average spaghetti western and I guess some people will find it a bit protracted.
But I like my films more deliberately paced.
Good film, formidable villainy!
rewatched “The Missouri Breaks” - one of my fave american westerns, very offbeat and very underrated.
Love High Plains Drifter…best part is when he takes care of those goons that follow him into the barber shop. Good gritty western with the supernatural feel to it.

I’d recognize those lyrics anywhere! This song is is also used in My Horse… My Gun… Your Widow (1972), directed by Juan Bosch. Watched that one about a month ago. In my oppinion this is one of the better “funny” song in SWs. I usually can’t stand humour music but this made me smile, it was so stupid in a good way.
Does anyone know if there is any “official” connection between Arizona Colt and Arizona Colt Returns? At first I thought that A.C. Returns is just another rip-off with nothing to do with the original. However, Western all’ Italiana: book 3 states that the character played by Roberto Camardiel is same in both movies so some continuation does exist! Camardiel is also in Spanish production Una bala marcada (1972), renamed Dio in cielo… Arizona in terra in Italy. Just a coincidence? In this movie Arizona (now played by Peter Lee Lawrence) has a habit of giving the bounty to those in need like Gemma did in Arizona Colt. I can’t remember if Steffen had such habit in Arizona Colt Returns since I have’t seen it in years.

A U.S. Marshal hunts a cattleman and his sons who try to drive out homesteaders with robbery, but a mysterious black clad bandit called “The Ghost” appears to complicate matters even more.
Decent “B” western. Plenty of action, okay story and acting.
Watched More Dollars for the MacGregors a couple of nights ago. Actually a lot better than I expected. A very violent film. Recommended.

I don’t know why, but this has always been one of my favourites. Silly gay costumes, totaly implausable plot, terrible dialogue and terrible acting by Dean Reed. And yet it works. Great Nicolai score helps.
Don’t forget Gerard Herter’s villain and his Django’esque shooting exercises and his stylish death. And the fact that all the Austrians were dressed in the same silly way 
Since today is Halloween, I’ve been watching mostly horror movies for the last couple of days, but I did mange to slip in a few “weird westerns” just for the fun of it:
“Curse Of The Undead” (1959)
The cinema’s first vampire Western! Young women in a small Western town are dying one by one of an unknown malady involving massive blood loss. The Carter family’s ranch is being terrorized by a ruthless land baron . And a mysterious black-clad gunfighter with an aversion to sunlight has just arrived in town. B-grade western with a twist: mysterious gunslinger-for-hire Drake Robey is really a vampire, and it’s up to Preacher Dan to save the town and girlfriend Dolores Carter.
"Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance"
Half vampire. Half Human warrior woman Rayne teams up with Pat Garrett(!) to battle a pack of vampire outlaws led by the undead Billy The Kid(!!!)
While not as bad as the original “Bloodrayne” this is still not a great movie, but it’s worth a viewing. if you have nothing better to do.

Great movie.
"Pale Rider"
Clint Eastwood’s classic about a mysterious Preacher/gunslinger protecting some miners from a ruthless mine operator
