The Last Western You Watched?

“A Lawless Street”

Randolph Scott and Angela Lansbury

Routine but entertaining

“3:10 To Yuma”

I saw this a couple of weeks ago on the Western Channel, but I had to buy the DVD when I saw it at a local Albertsons for only $9.95. Great movie
Wierd I just watched the same movie “In a Colt’s Shadow”
I would rate it a bit above average.
That’s why I wrote SOLID average. What did you like about it and what didn’t you like ???

Well good acting and a great score on the positive side.
There was nothing particulary I did not like.

Satan der Rache
(E Dio disse a Caino / And God Said to Cain)

Very Great, I like Western much more. 8) Kinski rulz!

Ein Fremder ohne Namen
(High Plains Drifter)

My first Western with Clint Eastwood. 8)
A Bad Anti-Hero comes into the towm of Lago. He comes over the people as the devil in Stephen Kings “Needful Things”, and he plays games until 3 murders come into the town.
Great! ;D

“Red River”

A true classic

I saw Dead Man ,no real SpagWestern ,but anyway a great Western…

‘Two Mules for Sister Sara’ with Shirley MacLaine and Clint Eastwood

 • simple plot
 • some bloody fighting and shooting

entertaining, well performed U.S. Western close to SW

“Keoma” - such a great piece of spag history. Brilliant music as well!

A Pistol For Ringo. Hadn’t watched it for a long time. Still laugh at the rotten English dubbing, especially Fernando Sancho singing “Silent Night”. Must watch Return of Ringo tonight! Also, tried watching 4 of the Apocalypse again. Still haven’t managed to watch from beginning to end. In my opinion, a truly appalling SW.

El Puro (Edoardo Mulargia)

With Robert Woods, Mario Brega.

Music of Alessandro Alessandroni…

“Breakheart Pass”

Charles Bronson, Jill Ireland, Ben Johnson

Not your typical Bronson shoot 'em up, but instead more of a western murder mystery. Very enjoyable

“From Noon Till Three”

another Bronson western. Very enjoyable

Is that the funny one where at one stage he is “Dr. Tooth”?

‘Odia il prossimo tuo’ (Hate thy neighbor)

 • quite acceptable score
 • interesting plot with some really nice ideas
 • well performed
 • Horst Frank at his best (playing a really mean bastard again)

very entertaining, in any case above average SW

Tepepa.

Just for pleasure…

Hi guys !

The last western I watched was “Destry rides again” with a very young James Stewart and a very glamourous Marlene Dietrich .

I also bought two new dvd’s for my little collection :

Little Rita nel West with Terence Hill
Lo Chiamavano King with Klaus Kinski

I haven’t watched them yet, so I don’t how good they are

‘Condenados a vivir’ (Cut throats nine)

 • interesting story, but they could have done more with it

 • extremely violent, bloody, dark (for 1971)

Well performed, above average snow-western
