The Last Movie You Watched?

Rambu.

80’s piss take one on the Rambo films, well at least the character of Rambo. Not as bad as I thought it would be with the zero budget. Does fall into the so bad its good category a little though  .

aka The Intruder, right? I had some hopes, but found it awful. Especially the cheesy thing with the scarf. Not much action either, compared to some other Indonesian productions from that era.

Yes thats right The Intruder  .

In the version of this film that I saw the entire english dub was done by only two male persons.

Obviously, they didn’t have much money to make it. O’Brien is probably wearing his own pants. It’s trash indeed but not outrageously bad in order to entertain

I love the dubbing, so hilarious. And the action at the end is impressive… when he sticks that bomb on the end of his shotgun.

Watched the Shriek Show Blu Ray of ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST this afternoon, the start credits look like a regular DVD but as soon as you get into the film it looks fantastic

"Resident Evil: Aftermath. fourth in the franchise and the worst one so far. the first half hour or so is terrible but does get better as it goes on but is still not a lot. time to stop this i think but not much hope of that.

GIALLO A VENEZIA - Apart from three brutal killings the rest was utter tosh.

Yes trahs it is, but special trash to me it got Eleonora Fani, what a lovely babe.

None of the chicks appealed to me, unfortunately. And that made the nudity/softcore scenes even more boring in the end.

Always liked piece of tail Fani, she’s a great in Pensione paura and Nené. One of those things maybe cause she’s “short” I don’t like tall woman ;D

I just watched “Grizzly” from 1976 with Christopher George a decent horror film about a grizzly bear that terrorizes a national park.

Hobo With A Shotgun

This is the latest faux Grindhouse trailer to be made into a full length flick. It is one of the raunchiest movies I’ve seen in a while and I loved every second of it. Over the top in every way imaginable but it works so brilliantly. The opening credits ooze spaghetti!

“The Reef” Quite tense Australian thriller about five friends three male, two female who go for a trip along the barrier reef and their boat crashes into a large piece of reef and gets a big hole in it and starts to sink. Stranded in the ocean 4 out of the 5 opt to swim for land 10-12 miles and do so but are menaced by sharks. This is nothing new and is similar to " Open Water" , what impressed me about this was, all the characters are likeable and you care about them and who will live and who will die. not bad at all. 7/10.

Funeral In Berlin.

Not viewed this UK spy thriller in ages. Michael Caine stars and returns as the sharp spy who does not miss a trick. Forgot what a good actor Caine was even in the 60’s. An enjoyable tale.

The Silent Partner (1978) - One of the best crime thrillers, the tense moments are so well done, and a great Roy Budd-like score by Oscar Peterson … Christopher Plummer is fascinating as the villain.

Its a good and nice trip to the good old days od exploitation films from the 70’s and 80’s, hope they do more like this one, and with big names like Hauer.

Entre tu et vous by Gilles Groulx (1969)

I guess this is where Groulx loses me (hopefully just momentarily). The film’s beautiful to look at, but by God is it abstract! Just a series of vignette that hardly make any sense. What am I supposed to get from this? And when you say Entre tu et vous (“Between you (singular) and you (plural)”) out loud it sounds like you’re saying : Entre-tuez-vous (“Kill one another”).

Brewster McCloud.

Adventures of a different kind of man played by Bud Cort. Hard to describe the style of this film, but it is certainly different I will give it that. Cort knows how to play unusual characters. Probably the most unusual Altman film I have seen to date.
