The Last Movie You Watched?

i think a lot of its success was a good marketing strategy… also the fact it was “presented by” Peter Jackson and the LOTR films were huge here. The marketing got a bunch of people in the seats, however it seems like most people I’ve talked to in the states didn’t really like it much… I thought it was pretty impressive though… to me, it really felt like watching a modern day exploitation flic in many ways

Body of Lies

A good movie but hard too watch. The Middle East is not a pretty place.

@Silence:
Yes, Euro crime marathon for as long as I can my hands on them.

I thougt so ;).

Puzzle (maybe I have already mentioned it, I don’t know)
Nice Giallo but not exactly the usual murder plot.

Viva Django
Awsome awsome film! One of the best SW IMO!

Saw v rapidly losing interest in this franchise now.

You have mentioned before.

I thought so.

I thought that you thought so.

Which Giallo would be the best to start the genre with if your a newcomer? I’m thinking on giving them a try.

I would start with Deep Red, my favorite Giallo. Has everything a Giallo should have. Torso and The Black Belly Of The Tarantula are two non-argento Gialli.

Only got round to viewing the longer cut of Deep Red recently.

I prefer the uncut to the export one.

Glad i’m not the only one who thinks that…i know a couple of people who think they’re great ???

This is a nice film and interesting watching how the money changes the characters in the film.

“Death Wish” with Charles bronson has been watched.

watched " The Spirit" last night.didn’t think much of it.

Wonderful film. The book is very good too.
It works because it’s a simple premise and you ask yourself all the time what you would do in the same situation. Would you be greedy? Would you stay calm and sensible?
Most thrillers are so far-fatched that it’s nearly impossible to get into the story; they still can be exciting, but I always think it’s advantage if, so to speak, ‘it can happen to you too’

Saw Le Corbeau, Henri-Georges Clouzot’s second feature, made in France in 1943 during the German occupation.

Bitter and cyncial drama with elements of thriller/noir about a campaign of poison-pen letters that tears open the respectable facade of a provincial French town.

Very controversial in its day, it managed to upset everybody - Vichy government, occupying authorities, Resistance movement (who objected because the film was made by a German production company) - with its misanthropic tone, its demonisation of the bourgeoisie and the governing powers, the absence of any semblance of heroism or genuine honour.

A touchstone of modern French cinema (so all the books say, I’m no expert). Highly recommended

was going to watch The Searchers last night but instead put in Thriller, thinking my girlfriend would get a kick seeing the girl with eyepatch character because she likes Kill Bill… i was not aware it was so… graphic, lol  i really liked the soundtrack
