Marty Surpreme was a blast.
Nouvelle Vague was quite something
Project Hail Mary was pretty good, as well, great theatrical experience.

Got tickets to see FAFDM on the big screen this Saturday ![]()
Cracking day. Saw Pefect Blue followed by For A Few Dollars More (weird double feature I know). I always forget how funny FAFDM is, the crowd was having a great time.
Saw Sheep detectives. I found it entertaining ![]()
And watched âThe Choralâ
Mixed feelings. Went for the music but the theatre did not have the best sound equipment. Story telling could have benefitted from a clear plot, clear characters and without open ends that were not all tight together.
It is time for another western I guess
HAMNET (2025, ChloĂŠ Zhao)
Quite an experience. Itâs a film about Shakespeare, based on a couple of isolated facts. We donât know too much about the worldâs most illustrious playwright, but we know that he had a son called Hamnet, who died at the age of 11, and that he wrote a play called Hamlet four years after the death of his beloved son. The film connects these two facts and develops a theory regarding the origins of Shakespeareâs most famous play.
But first and foremost, Hamnet is a film about the loss of a child and the different ways in which two lovers attempt to process that loss. The acting of both lead actors, Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, is stunning. One could label the film as a melodrama, but in that case itâs a melodrama of the superior kind. Some scenes are so intense that they become almost unbearable. Only the ending feels somewhat forced (otherwise it would be a five star movie).
