If I lived in London I think I’d spend more time at the PC cinema than I would my own home. I always get jealous seeing what they are showing.
Yeah, it’s a gem
And the best part is the audience are all film geeks so no one on their phones. No one talking. No one wandering in and out. I’s bliss
That’s what finished cinema visits for me - and I haven’t been in a commercial cinema since 2005 … People would just chat away with each other, unfazed by any thought they might be spoiling other paying customer’s enjoyment - total selfish assholes!
Perhaps things have changed now that it’s quite expensive for a night out at the flicks, but I doubt it ?
I would love to have watched ‘Sabata’ on a big screen with an original 35mm print, but only if all other patrons were sworn to silence.

Same as I pay to go to the cinema in Denmark:)
The last time I went to the cinema was 2017 to see T2 Trainspotting and the time before that was 1996 to see Trainspotting.
Our cinemas are too loud and full of people talking or internet surfing on their iPhones.
I bought a home cinema system and I’m happy with that.
Sinners. Tough one. It’s definitely good, and I dig a lot of things about it, but I was quite let down and I think it’s massively overhyped and overrated. It’s just not that great, just for example the music isn’t edited to the images well, the film drags a bit, and not sure what’s up with the cinematography but I thought it mostly looked like crap
I loved it (I gave it a 4/5) but I was also a bit confused with everyone on the internet acting like this is the greatest film of the century. It was very good but not that good haha.
That about sums it up, but I feel like people would hype this less if they’d generally see more movies that aren’t superhero crap ![]()
Mission Impossible 8: meh
Islands: quite solid
Sinners: okay
Warfare: impressive but pointless
Alien Romulus. Just saying that reminds me how long its been since I’ve been to the theater!
Boogie Nights in 35mm. My first PTA film. Thoroughly enjoyed, and was surprised to see Mark Wahlberg actually act!
28 Years Later. What a trip
My favourite night of the year last night, the Tyneside Cinema All Nighter. This year it upped to 5 films! 10pm-8am!
Suspiria and Freddy Vs Jason were both on 35mm prints.
A disappointment to me
