The Last Film You Saw in the Cinema?

Thanks. It is just that I have never been to America (one of my large “must do” things).

Be sure to put Bostsn at the top of that list!

I haven’t been in America either, this forum should take a SW trip there :D.

Yes, and the Rev. could show us the delights of cider drinking, i!

We all love cider, don’t we ;)?

Yes, we can!

The Special Effects were quite impressive. Definitely a movie you should watch on a big big screen. The dialogues, the story … were quite silly and predictable. This popcorn flick reminded me strongly on disaster classics like EARTHQUAKE. I should have drunken some beers before watching it. :-X

no beers?? but why??

I never run out of beers  .

Hmm good question I think it was not allowed to drink beer in the cinema! Instead you can eat Popcorn and Cola .

That’s why I like to watch movies at home or at friends with beer!

You are a wise man Paco  ,

That’s why I’m doing something for my health and will drink a very good Czech Pilsner …

Only one of the large cinemas around here is just now starting to serve beers. But still, the prices are very high of course.

I like to get a large bottle of strong beer and put it in my pocket

Not wise to drink a lot of beer in a theater

You’ll need to go to the bathroom a dozen times before the movie is over

Very true, but also an advantage of my single bottle of strong beer

I went to see three Hitchcock films on the silver screen last Sunday. They were:
The Ring
Sabotage
and
The Lodger

“The Ring” was probably the weakest, with a melodramatic plot, but it has some good boxing scenes and excellent cinematography for its time (the movie is a silent). “Sabotage” was the best with some brilliant suspense squences, and “The Lodger” was a suitably chilling take on the Jack the Ripper murders. A 10/10 night.

Not sure if I have already seen The Ring but The Lodger and Sabotage are both good.

Thank you. Each film had an introduction by the Art Director of the cinema and another introduction by Neil Brand, who played the piano music for the silents live on the stage!
JW & I are definitely in a minority when it (Star Wars prequels) comes to this, for sure.
But hey, I’ve always been in a minority of one sort or another. :)
Yes, we must be in a mingority!

I’m planning on seeing this to see how far modern cinema has retreated into pop-corn flicks…
